what do you expect for a promo fare? you will be treated same as in business class? ride other airline.. dami naman pagpipilian..

I was talking with a friend who works at an ad agency. If you go through data on recurring customer complaints, sila pa rin yung book ng book sa same airline (not specific to Cebu Pac).

The Hero of 5J "Runway Excursion" incident. The guy who calmed everyone down, including the FAs...Saludo!

ENS Marlon D Bo, a Philippine Navy Reservist received an award last friday (June 14, 2013) during the Flag Retreat Ceremony at the Naval Reserve Command (NAVRESCOM) Headquarters, Intramuros Manila. The Military Commendation Medal was awarded to him by the NAVRESCOM Deputy Commander, Colonel Jesulito Calimag for his commendable conduct shown as one of the passengers of ill-fated Cebu Pacific plane that over-shot the runway during landing at Davao International Airport on June 2, 2013.

During the said incident, with some smoke already filling the aircraft, ENS BO rose to the occasion and with presence of mind, helped calm down terrified passengers of the said aircraft until all of them were able to disembark and were brought to safety. Equipped with proper training and competence as a Navy Reservist, subject officer was able to maintain his composure in spite of the commotion happening inside the plane wherein many passengers were shaken and wanted to disembark immediately compromising safety. Applying his knowledge and training in emergency evacuation procedure, ENS BO with unreserved concern for the safety of his fellow passengers, took the initiative and managed to avert stampede and prevent them from further hurting themselves. ENS BO was able to organize and assist the passengers in a systematic, secure and prompt disembarkation from the plane during the said emergency situation. Unmindful of his own personal safety, ENS BO did all these until the last passenger had safely disembarked. The able leadership and actions of ENS BO earned the admiration of the Filipino people which is worthy of emulation by all. By these achievements, ENS BO earned distinct credits not only for himself and the Philippine Navy but also for the Armed Forces of the Philippines which is in keeping the finest tradition of the military service.

2 Cebu Pacific pilots in mishap suspended | Inquirer News

The CAAP will also hold special training for Cebu Pacific’s crew in initiating go-around or balked landing, Andrews said. “Balked landing has never been part of (Cebu Pacific’s) training and simulation,” he said. “In order to save costs, the levels of fuel of Cebu Pacific air buses were not enough to do a go-around.”

3 minutes lang daw yung worth of extra fuel...CAAP said it should be 15 minutes. Eh paano if there's an emergency and the airport closed all of a sudden? Dapat ata they should be enough fuel to return to point of origin.

Alam ko dati dapat may mataas na extra fuel para sa mga emergency situations eh. Baka nga there was an anomaly kaya pinilit magland.

Perhaps the flight data recorder and the taped recordings of comms bore that out...

Nabanggit ng caap sa interview din yung fuel... Na tipong for every extra xx liters they bring, it will burn them additional yy liters of fuel because ofvthe weight of the extra fuel alone... Kaya siguro cebupac tried to optimize siguro...
