OT:
suzuki,
yung mga bagong ferrari at aston martin merong "automanual", an automatically shifting manual tranny. merong clutch pa rin, but it's computer controlled so walang clutch pedal. yung mga "manumatic", manually-shifted automatics, meron pa ring torque converters as in conventional automatics

What mbt means is that some transmissions are automatics that can be shifted manually while some (usually in fancy Italian sports cars) are actually manuals with an automatic function (ala F1).
Yung mga walang low range commonly referred to as 'all wheel drive'. They are designed for snow and low traction surfaces. Not really for lahar busting or rock crawling.

pissword,
yan nga yung invecs (at tiptronic, at kung ano pang marketing term hehe)... but the performance would still be lower than a similar true manual transmission model.
suzuki-san,
well, AWD (like those in the forester, RAV4, and escape) may still be useful in rain, sand, dirt roads, a little mud, etc...
