I think you need a tranny overhaul.

As one website would say it:

When not to flush your transmission

Before draining or flushing you should pull the dip stick and look at the fluid. If it is dark, burnt smelling, and you see little flakes or speck in it, DO NOT FLUSH IT. The fluid and transmission possibly has hard part damage, but the transmission just has not figured out it should die yet. If you flush a transmission in this condition it could fail right away. Real strange, but that is what seems to happen. If your transmission is in this condition just drive it while you save for a replacement transmission. There is no way of telling when it will fail. It might be today, next week, or next year, but it is doomed.

The goal here is to flush the transmission BEFORE the fluid gets contaminated. What you are taking out should look like what you are putting in. Do not wait for a color or smell change. Most manufacturers calls for transmission fluid change at 30,000 mile intervals. The industry standard is two years or 24,000 miles whichever comes first. It is your vehicle, you decide what is best for you.

I'm guessing first time mo mag-overhaul ng transmission mo?

Unlike manual kasi... Madaming "clutch" sa loob ang AT, kahit anong ingat, mapupud-pod din yan (like manual) and will need a replacement,

Best is overhaul mo na lang and it will run like new again...

^ i agree. once you have it overhauled by a competent shop, it'll run like new once again.

the cost would probably go as much as 30k - give or take. it's costly, but to put it in perspective, it's just like buying a new set of good quality tires w/o the rims pa - and the newly overhauled tranny will last longer than those rubbers

my advice, have it serviced at d&r fast auto repair service. they make overhauling trannies look easy at reasonable prices. they even have a flat bed tow truck in case your ride is already incapable of navigating to their shop in paranaque

pwede din bumili ng surplus pero para sa akin medyo roll of the dice din kasi ang mga iyan. you'll never know in what kind of shape that used tranny you're getting until it's already installed on your vehicle - sugal din eh. so might as well have it overhauled and make use of the 6 months shop warranty (minsan 1 year pa nga ang warranty kung madali kausap ang shop) if you encounter any problems.

instead of peace of mind, what I got is a head wracking pressure. I got my transmission rebuild by a neighbor mechanic. I bought the rebuild kit in walco banawe. he's a good mechanic but seems to have done worst for the transmission. ang kupad ng acceleration pagkatapos ng rebuild. walang arangkada sa paahon. bayad utang kasi ang labor niya, pinatulan ko nalang para quits na sana. parang nalugi pa tuloy ako nito. any possibilities po kung anong nangyari? ayaw ko na rin siya ka usapin, patingnan ko nalang siguro sa iba.

Bring it to the dealer hindi ba shift cable ang problem sa crosswind mo. My xuv a/t's shift cable was repaired bago naputol by isuzu makati at 90k kms mark.

Read this just now, there are good mechanics, and there are GOOD transmission mechanics.

Not all mechanics are created equal, each has his own weak and strong areas of specialization. If a mechanic tells you he knows (or is an expert) of everything, he's lying thru the skin of his teeth.

I hope your car is now doing fine.

kung Okay na ang shifting after rebuild, it might be the EGR valve or MAF sensor baka sobra dumi na kaya walang arangkada.

May mga specialists talaga pagdating sa tranny overhaul/repair. He might have “botched” your tranny sir. Meaning he did not do the overhaul properly.

You can see if he has used the correct AT Fluid. That can also lead to the symptoms you are describing.

First time A/T user here. I am currently driving a Crosswind XUVi. Kapag medyo malamig pa ang makina 'di agad kumakagat ang clutch but once it's on the normal temperature, it seems fine. Overhaul na rin ba ito o palit lang ng ATF?
