hi!
can you please help me. me mga times na hirap ako mag-change the gear, ayaw pumasok? ang ginagawa ko nuetral muna then saka ko ulit pasok, minsan ayaw pa din. clutch na ba ito o transmission problem?
ride ko po ay lancer glxi m/t.
many thanks..

how long ba since you have replaced the clutch? how's the clutch fluid in your reservoir. kung nababawasan, may leak yan either sa clutch master cylinder or clutch slave cylinder. kung pudpod na kasi ang clutch, it should manifest sliding symptom; as in pag- engage mo ng gear, di agad humahatak yung auto, (tumataas yung rpm as you step on the accelerator pero forward thrust is delayed).
do you experience hard shifting at all times or when the car is at full stop( i.e. engaging first gear when the traffic light turns green at an intersection). baka nasa adjustment lang ng push rod yan kaya ganyan or maybe you need to have your gear oil changed
momoyster,
last year lang ako palit, actually dec yun. nde nman nababawasan yung clutch fluid although medyo madumi na sya. la nmang sliding.. i usually experiencing this pag or during stop and go. usually me hardshifting sa 1st and 2nd gear. bagong palit ang gear oil ko din, kahapon lang kasabay ng change oil ko.
many tnx..
Try to adjust your clutch first or replace the whole clutch set(pilot & release bearing, Clutch plate and disc)
correct me if i am wrong, dba pagsinabing adjust yung clutch - meaning mataas o malalim na yng clutch.. adjust mo sya pra kumapit, tama ba ako?
in a year time, me possiblity bang worn out na yung clutch ko(pudpod na1). 1 set ko pinalitan yun, daikin ang tatak nya.
Pag nagkamali ng pagkabit possible na masira kaagad, just like what happended to my rig after 30k kms, sliding na. Dinukot lang kasi hindi binaba buong tranny. Malamang di nagpanatay sa flywheel. Mas tangos daw kasi yung flywheel side ng disc.
it seems that the little things that you should look at are ok. pa-adjust mo muna yung clutch mo to try to isolate the problem. if this fails, mukhang dapat tignan na ang transmission and clutch assembly. sa push rod ang iaadjust as far as i know. ganito rin kasi yung sinusumpong ng vr ko pagkatapos ko pa pms sa casa. sabi ng casa di naman nila ginalaw yung clutch during the pms. but i know my car's behavior kasi talaga e so binalik ko sa kanila tapos ayun nga, sa push rod nila inadjust. ang problem ng sa akin, sa first gear lang mahirap e-engage,rowing through the rest of the gears is no problem. if i have time, papa change ko yung gear oil nya. but then again, it could be my clutch rin kasi nung 35k km ko yun pinalitan, the car just hit the 60k km mark e. in my case, baka indication na yun ng malapit na sya mapudpod
ungas: think me problem nga sa pagkabit sa akin kasi after ng palit me naramdaman akong prang "drag" whenever i change shift. me times na ala meron madalas. bka me problem yng flywheel?
drag ba yun? yung bang pag change shift mo tapos bitaw ng clutch me parang nalaglag na mabigat tapos me tunog na "blag"?
momoyster: push rod? dba e2 yung nsa kambyo mismo? maybe, i'll have it check.. sna nga d2 lang yun.
many thanks to all..
Or it could be your 1st-2nd gear synchronizer. With the engine off, is it hard to shift from first to second?
butchokuy,
yung 'blag' na naririnig mo ba sa ilalim or sa kambyo? kasi i also experienced the same sa kambyo, siguro mga 4x na. when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. parang matatanggal ang kambyo ng galant ko. i just replaced my clutch disc, pres plate & release bearing...
calcite: pag off ang engine OK ang shifting, very smooth.
Guys, pwedeng pakilinaw... How would you know/test kung failing na the ff:
1) Clutch Disc
2) Pressure Plate
3) Release/Tension Bearing
4) Primary/Secondary Slave (usually leak diba?)
5) Tranny Fluid
1) Clutch Disc - noticed if your RPM is not in tune with the speed of the car. High RPM na wala pang hatak. Or try, with engine running, shift to first gear and release the clutch without stepping on the gas. If the engine does not vibrate or shows signs of under load your clutch disc is really wornout.
2) Pressure Plate - Hard shifting, need to push the pedal to the floor to shift.
3) Release/Tension Bearing - release bearing lang po. Tensioner bearing is for the timing belt and in some cars for the fan/ac/alt belt. To test the release bearing put the shifter in the neutral position and listen. If you hear a whinning or humming sound and it disappears when you step on the clutch medyo may tama na ang bearing mo. But this doesn't mean sira na yun. It could take years bago tuluyan bumigay yun.
4) Primary/Secondary Slave (usually leak diba?) o kaya lumulubod yun clutch o lumulusot ito.
5) Tranny Fluid - hard shifting, harsh sound. visual inspection sa gas station.
i had the very same problem with you just recently, so i had my clutch assembly replaced.
i did not experience the sliding clutch problem, and it happened all of a sudden. pag green ng traffic light, i really had a hard time engaging the first gear, no matter how i pushed the clutch pedal. when the engine is off, i was able to shift the grears with ease. hence i had my tranny brought down and inspected. ang nakitang sira eh yung isa sa mga springs eh na dislocate na dun sa disc.

very intersting thread! i am experiencing number 2. kailangan ba ibaba na yung tranny pag ganito? M/T yung car ko e.Originally Posted by afrasay
The way you discribe your problem, one can come to one conclusion....."Binding " your clutch pressure plate is not dis-engaging properly.....Most common problem..
1.Flywheel hotspot
2.Pressure Plate Hot spot.
3.Warped disc,flywheel, or pressure Plate
You forgot to mention if you had resurfaced the flywheel when you replace the clutch and or did you use the old pressure plate (never should be done on a clutch job on a diapraghm plate)
Anyways your problem is that, part of your clutch disc is still touching the flywheel and pressure plate when you are stepping on your pedal....it is not completely dis-engaging
i tried number 1 kanina lang when i got home from work. i tried 2 methods. one was quickly releasing the clutch without stepping on the gas, and the other was to slowly release the clutch without stepping on the gas also. for the first method, the car gave an abrupt jerk and the engine died. but the for second method, the car proceeded to move and the engine did not die, the vibration was normal (slight lang), it was as if i did the correct mix of clutch and gas to make the car move. i tried this 3 times with the same result. is my clutch disc worn out na?Originally Posted by afrasay
as for number 2 ganun din yung na experience ko.
any thoughts?
