March 4th, 2016 09:41 AM #165Installation was quick at Shell Magallanes last Tuesday.
The staff tested the RFID on my windshield but the tint is metallic daw so he installed it on the headlight.
Yesterday was the first time I was able to use the RFID:
SB exit (Alabang South Station exit) = ok
NB entry (Filinvest) = ok
NB exit (C5) = fail
33% miss rate agad on the first day of use.
I hope when they do phase out epass, RFID hit rate will get better.

It's not free, SMC makes money from this service, aside from the annual fee. Think of it as a credit card na walang annual fee, kung hindi mo magamit pag kailangan mo, ok lang ba yun?

March 6th, 2016 03:46 PM #169You did not get the point. Yung free na sinsabi ay yung sticker hindi tulad nung sa epass na bayad yung transponder bukod pa dun sa load.
Of course SMC will profit from the use of RFID. Kaya nga toll way- pag gumamit ka ng kalsada magbabayad with or without RFID. Yung RFID is just for avoid the inconvenience of queuing at the toll gates during heavy traffic.

Grrrrrrrrr.....
Where do I report it to??? The Bicutan main office???
It is repairable. But as oj88 mentioned, it is messy (when repaired) and best used as a last resort.
