Based on the photos parang kumain siya ng isang lane ng SB. Bale center island and SB lane kinuha nun temporary ramp. So malamang nga gagamitin pa SB pag nag Start close-off nila isang lane sa SB.

November 25th, 2019 05:54 PM #282IMHO it would be much efficient if they will allow only the RFID users to use that new ramp and the RFID toll gate will be relocated to the left side from the current Right most side of the Sky toll entry. Kya nagtraffic dun kse most of the vehicle coming off from the skyway extn. have to cross and make their way to the RFID toll and crossing the vehicles coming up from the grade area. Leave the Bus lane to the outermost part of that Toll just as is now.
And yes agree affected much those coming from Zapote-Alabang tyak mas ma prioritize those from coming off from the ramp. But if they will now but a hard barrier para maging effective na 3 lane then hopefully manageable. Sana naman they double check the Load Bearing of that 2 lane skyway baka maoverload naman.

Temporary Steel Ramps are exclusively for Class 1 RFID users only.
The main ramps are completed as of yesterday. Looks like SMC is really rushing to meet RSA's deadline this coming Saturday.

Aerial update (this was taken last Tuesday so hindi nakuhanan yung last remaining steel ramp segment) (we can see the median lane is being used for NB vehicles as well)

Experienced SLEX northbound traffic earlier. It was crawling past Southwoods but traffic was much better after Alabang.

So this is "how" it would look like in the interim (by demolishing the old median barrier / temporary steel ramps):

SLEX traffic seen to ease with opening of 3rd lane, new Skyway ramp
By BusinessMirror -November 27, 2019
SAN Miguel Corporation (SMC) president and chief operating officer Ramon S. Ang said that traffic on the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) is expected to ease with the Dec. 1 re-opening of the third lane of the Skyway at-grade level, and the opening of a new, 2-lane ramp connecting the Alabang viaduct to the elevated Skyway.
“These enhancements will ensure that there will be five lanes available to northbound SLEX vehicles during rush hours, even as we go full blast with construction of the Skyway Extension project. Motorists will be able to use the original three lanes at the at-grade section, plus two more lanes at the elevated section,” Ang said.
This is a considerable improvement from previous conditions, wherein 5 lanes on the SLEX would narrow to just 3 at the Alabang viaduct.
• To make this possible, Skyway reconfigured and maximized the first section of the elevated Skyway coming from the Alabang-Zapote road to 3 lanes, from the original 2.
• With the new ramp connecting to the elevated section, northbound traffic from SLEX can be accommodated without significantly impacting traffic coming from the Alabang-Zapote road.
• The original design for the Alabang-Zapote road Skyway ramp, built by the previous concessionaire, is one lane northbound and one lane southbound. At certain times in the morning, when traffic is heaviest, both lanes are used for northbound traffic.
• The advantage of the new 3-lane configuration at the start of the elevated portion is that lane assignments can be easily adjusted depending on traffic volume.
• As such, even with the new ramp, motorists coming from the Alabang-Zapote road will retain use of 1-2 lanes, depending on traffic volume.
• In the evening, when southbound traffic is heavier, more or all lanes—including the two lanes on the new ramp–can be assigned for southbound use.

December 1st, 2019 10:48 AM #290i just heard over the radio (9:45 am sunday), that northbound slex traffic is back to normal.
i wonder, is the southbound also back to normal?
i am a regular user, and i have had to "trim my responsibilities", when the construction started.
