It will work but not all speed-traps in Philippines are using radar. Some are using laser based systems which are harder to detect ahead of time.

Lol I was just trying to sneak a joke in this thread.

Anyways I have a car and drive it everyday in my life.

Yan ang risk sa trabaho ng mmda, ung bigla haharang sa daan, walang silbi ung no contact policy nila, kaya they need to physicaly stop the violator on the spot, kasama na din dyan ung oportunity for tawaran portion.

Has anyone been flagged down recently at the northern most end of the TPLEX extension after SCTEX (headed Baguio direction)?

I was recently flagged down and the LTO deputised person claimed that I was running 125kph but cannot give me a photo capture of the speedcam and to cut the long story short as I was going to miss an appointment, just handed over my license but the temporary license paper showed an incorrect car color and also I remember, the apprehending person was copying the front license plate of my car... now here's the kicker, when I was flagged down, another car of the same brand and model except it was a dark gray vehicle was flagged down ahead of me.

I vividly recalled there was no patrol nor any potential place where a person with a speed gun could have hide away from... if they cannot produce a evidence copy of the speed cam shot of my vehicle and with my plate number, can I protest it at LTO main? I managed to get a copy of the ID of the apprehending person who promised to get the speedcam shot to my email id, but I doubt if they have one.

My radar detector did not ping the whole stretch of TPLEX...

Had a quick glimpse at the rear view mirror and thank God malayo pa yung mga sasakyan sa likod, so i was hard on the brakes hanggang sa 100-110kph na lang takbo ko. Nong nasa exit na i was very calm -- not! i was sweating bullets. Ayun wala naman pala kong huli haha!

diba may percent tolerance yan sir? if you are running at 120kph baka sa radar detector slightly lower ung makukuha nilang reading.
