I went to Subic last Saturday...there's a sign going to Subic that says speed is radar monitored....

The anti-speeder patrol is not there all the time.

I'd still prefer they raise the speed limit in open, straight portions to around 120kph (with leeway of course). When its near the exits or populated/heavy traffic areas then implement it at 100kph. Is that legally possible?

It has been done in other countries.

    last saturday & sunday,
120kph ang speed ko sa sctex on a nissan escapade, wala naman huli.
swertihan lang siguro or baka namimili sila ng sasakyan na babarilin ng speed radar??
baka sa mga tsikot or suv lang sila mahigpit?

But the SCTEX is a different matter. Last Wednesday we were apprehended at the Last Exit of the SCTEX in Tarlac. The Officer told us that we were Overspeeding at 155kph. We asked the officer it was possible to just pay the Fine to him but it was not the case. He also gave us a choice between surrendering the Driver's License or the Plate at the back. We just decided on the plate at the back.

Just this morning we went to LTO East Avenue to get our license plate back. It took us the whole morning to get the license plate back. Overspeeding fine amounted to P1277.
i was once caught at NLEX for overspeeding. at the last exit, around 2pm, the patrol man was waiting for us (overspeeding cars) right before the toll booths. walang takas dahil meron pictures daw na overspeeding with plate numbers. Sa sctex, i think the radar guns are with the patrol cars which are parked in spots where they will not be seen from afar and where the cars will most likely overspeed. but i have never been caught in sctex yet. hopefully not.

Within the leeway speed ka nila.

sir ang mga naghuhuli sa SCTEX sa observation ko, ay yung mga naka standby na patrol cars. i dont think they have a fixed radar gun around. nahuli na kasi ako once and it was too late nung makita ko yung patrol na may radar gun di na ko nakapag menor ayun pinara ko sa toll gate papasok ng subic. pinakita pa nga picture ng ride ko e. guilty as charged
