    Seriously, the MMDA have got to stop making the private/middle-to-upper class people responsible for their own incompetence of systematizing public transportation. Traffic has nothing to do with private vehicle owners.

    Its the undisciplined, uneducated and rude public vehicles that's the main cause of traffic everywhere. They load and unload commuters anywhere and everywhere. They occupy 2 lanes of a 2 lane road while waiting for passengers, completely insensitive of other motorist behind them.

    Its one thing that private vehicle owners have to put up with this garbage, but proposing to ban more private vehicles when in fact they have nothing to do with the problem is complete and utter ignorance and it speaks of the kind of people that are running our nation to the ground.

    While we're at it, they seem to be so strict about emissions, air pollution and protecting us and our environment. Well here is a fact, it is the Japanese garbage that our public utility vehicles is comprised of that is also the main cause of the problem. Again, not private vehicles.

    Dagdag mo pa yung inadequate infrastructure and lack of proper city planning and vision. Matagal ng problema ang traffic ang ginagawa lang kasi ng gobyerno ay puro band-aid solution. Ilang taon na ang number coding, saturated na yung unang scheme nila dahil na-overtake na ng pagdami ng sasakyan kaya ang naiisip nila ngayon doblehin yung coding.

    New coding scheme detailed; 2 groups welcome MMDA plan | Inquirer News

    MMDA assistant general manager for operations Emerson Carlos on Friday said vehicles numbers ending in one and two would be banned metrowide on Mondays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; five and six on Tuesdays; nine and zero on Wednesdays; three and four on Thursdays, and seven and eight on Fridays. But private vehicles covered by the ban can still be used during “window hours” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Those with plate numbers ending in thee and four would be banned only in the morning and evening rush hours and only along Edsa on Mondays; seven and eight on Tuesdays; one and two on Wednesdays; five and six on Thursdays, and nine and zero on Fridays. The covered periods would be from 7 to 10 a.m., and from 5 to 8 p.m.

    Vehicles barred from using Edsa during these hours may still take other roads, said Carlos, who sought to dispel any misinterpretation that the new scheme would impose a “two-day ban” on vehicles per week.

    The RSRP is still subject to the approval of Metro Manila mayors.

    but overall, i am still not in favor of this new scheme. i believe eliminating the colora buses would have been more just, even as it is more difficult initially.. but hey, it's not really difficult! with computers and all, all they need is political will.

    i am beginning to suspect, our leaders refuse to adopt new technology because they are afraid it may be used against them.. whereas they could get away with it before, now technology will catch them red-handed.

    hehe kaya ko nga sinulat para mas madali maintindihan. sana makatulong pag itinuloy ng mmda ang scheme ito.

    I agree kailangan talaga tanggalin sa kalsada ang mga colorum. hopefully together with this proposed scheme, and a lot of political will, mag improve ang traffic sa edsa.

    Ung kolorum na bus gagamit ng fake na plate number na hindi coding, so hindi pa din mababawasan ng bus sa edsa. Dapat literal na color coding ang gawin sa mga puv. Mag assign ng 5 colors, malayo pa lan alam mo ng hindi dapat mag byahe ung puv.

    So papalitan na naman nila yung previous coding arrangement with this new scheme. We need to momorize this all over again. But how about Makati & Las Pinas who impose their own coding rules, will they follow the new shedule. Baka kasi yung 3-4 for example will b e moved from Tuesday to Thursday, tapos itong Makati & LP will still stick to Tuesday for those codes, eh di bale 3 days at lalong gugulo.

    Itong si chariman, nagpasalamat sa mga nag bigay daw ng suggestions& comments about his proposal. Eh chairman, kung tama ang ginagawa mo, juan dela cruz will not mind, problem is your a loose canon kaya we are speaking up telling you what to do.

    sabi ko nga sa inyo maluwag pa ang mrt natin compared sa japan :D

    un nga lang ang mga hapon may disiplina at respeto sa mga kapwa pasahero, hindi nanggugulang sa pila at pinapauna muna ang lalabas. plus on time lagi ang mga train, late lang un pag nasiraan o kaya may nagpakamatay.

    Nung Friday nag LRT ako para bumili ng spare parts ng kotse. Punuan ang LRT from Vito Cruz to Edsa.
    Mas malala nung pabalik naman. Sa Edsa palang, puno na agad yung train. Paano yung mga sasakay sa mga suceeding stations?

    Secondly, nang pababa na ako sa Vito Cruz, yung mga tao ayaw magbigay ng daan. Takot lahat maiwan ng tren. Mas pipiliin nila na tumabi kahit masikip kesa bumaba muna ng saglit para makababa muna yung mga pasahero.

    Ewan ko ba. Mga Pinoy na ata ang may problema.
