actually, ako din naman yan ang restrictions ko. pwede naman ikaw magdrive ng automatic kasi capable ka naman sa manual tranny driving. i heard na may restrictions din ang iba na limited to auto tranny lang at hindi pwede humawak ng manual. yun yung mga tao na nag-aral at ginamit eh auto tranny. manual going matic, no problem.

Do we really need to follow the restriction code found on our Drivers license? My restriction code is 1 and 2 which means i can only drive a motor cycle or a manual vehicle below 4500kg,does that mean i cannot drive a AT vehicle below 4500kg? Is it a violation when enforcers caught me driving an AT vehicle? TIA

nope.... since you are still driving a vehicle 4500 kg and below.
and medyo mahigpit sila is yung motorcycle driving and vehicles above 4500 kg. pag nahuli ka driving a motorcycle or a vehicle above 4.5k kgs and wala sa restriction mo yun, dun ka yari.

sir 1D4LV 1&2 din yung restriction namin ng wife ko, it is also one of our deciding factor why me & my wife choose a M/T innova G over matic sportivo. is there any special requirement paano malagay yung restrition sa matic the next time we renew our LTO liscence

Ano ang meaning ng G V W? is this a Car Variant?

IMO Kung car variant ito...lahat ng Toyota Unit na may G V variant ay Automatic (Gas/Diesel) so kung ang RC mo ay 2 pwede kang makapag drive ng Automatic...

sir, carried na po yan. no need to apply for added restriction (4 - automatic clutch only) delikado if baligtad (with RC 4 only) - may lusot ang enforcers na di kayo pwede mag m/t.

sir, question lng.. ang restriction ko po kac ngayon is 2 lng.. next year paparenew ako ulit..hehe kung palagay ko po lahat ng restrictions para wlang walng mahabang usapng gaya nito.. pwede po ba un?hahaha ano po process? baka makasalubong ako ng lespu na bopol e..hehehe dami pa namn nla dto..hahaha

from the LTO seminar i have attended in Cabuyao, if you have restriction code 2 and you are driving an automatic, this is a case of driving with IMPROPER license. an offense. so it is better for one to have 1, 2 & 4 altogether in the restriction code portion to save you from all hassles that you can think of. i don't think this is going to cost us more than 500 bucks to upgrade our RC. rather than experience a repeated offense over and over, of which the minimum penalty would start somewere in the 300s? you may never know what kind of traffic enforcer you might meet someday. so i believe it is better to do the right things right the first time. call it a worthwhile worry-free investment, if you will.

Napaliwanag na ito ng mismong LTO Chief several years ago broadcasted by way of radio and television media. In this case mukhang mali ata ang sabi ng nag conduct ng seminar!!??

Restriction 2 & 3 pwede mag-drive ng manual or automatic na sasakyan limited lang ayon sa specified gross vehicle weight.

Restriction 4 & 5 pwede lang mag drive ng automatic transmission, di pwede sa manual and again limited to specified gross vehicle weight. Usually binibigay ito sa mga handicapped driver like leg amputee. Syempre obvious naman na hindi sila pwede sa manual tranny.

Makikita mo sa likod ng license mo ang mga CONDITION. Ang lisensya ko may Condition A kasi kailangan ko magsuot ng eyeglasses or contact lens pag nagda-drive.

I am also in the same quandary as inaappropriate restriction may get us into all sorts of inconvenience such as presumption of negligence, violation of
traffic laws etc, including denial of claim from the insurance company, in cases of damages.

The issue is whether or not restriction 2 covers automatic transmission vehicles?

There is a rule in statutory construction that "what the law does not distinguish, we cannot distinguish". Which means, if we are to apply, "Vehicle up to 4500 kgs g v w" does include manual, automatic, sportronic, or tiptronic trannys. This is just my interpretation though of the restrictions so stated at the back portion
of the license. Should it be better if we have concrete legal basis on this one? Unfortunately, i have scoured on agency sites with no mention of it.

May we ask those from LTO to publish specifically their memorandum circular on this to settle the issue for once and for all.

Mag comment lang po ako sa old thread na ito. Restriction 2 & 3 pwede mag drive ng manual & automatic clutch vehicle up to 4500 GVW, as what I posted above years ago.

pwede po yan. "Vehicle up to 4500 kilograms G V W" meaning niyan vehicle up to 4500 kgs wala namang sinabing manual or automatic clutch.

E di pwede rin po akong mag drive ng motorsiklo o tricycle kahit R-2 lang ang restriction ko kaci wala below 4500 kgs ang motorsiklo.
