If u go to google images then type toyota vios 2013, same ata yan sa red car na lalabas dun. Looks like a rav4 nga so that might be really it.

Hello everyone! Last Month, I got my first brand new car, a silver Vios 1.3 G. I've learned a lot about my car through this forum.

I want to replace the head unit of the audio system with something that has more functions (monitor, touchscreen, DVD player, GPS, etc.). These are my questions:

1.) If I buy from outside the Casa, will my warranty (or any part of it) be void? Has anyone here had experience with this issue?
2.) If I buy from the Casa, I know that the cost will almost be twice. Is there any other benefit to buying from Casa aside from warranty being intact?

Ang alam ko, not the whole electrical warranty would be voided. Besides, madali lang naman ibalik sa stock yung HU assuming you'll go for the 2-DIN HU.

The so-called "OEM" 2 DIN HU. China-made usually. Yan yung pwedeng lagyan ng GPS and TV Tuner aside from DVD. Yung ibang brands din like AVT or yung mga generic, pwedeng may GPS at TV along with the DVD while yung Pioneer, afaik, di pwedeng i-integrate yung GPS sa kanya. TV Tuner pwede pero you have to buy a separate TV Tuner para mapagana yun. Pwede rin i-integrate sa Pioneer ang reverse/backup camera.

Yes, that "OEM" 2-Din HU is what I am considering. But I am also considering Pioneer because I am assuming that it will last longer than the "OEM" ones. Right now though, I'm still just deciding if I will get it from the casa or outside.

Sa labas nyo na po kunin. I have a friend who bought a brand new car (not a Toyota), sa casa nya binili yung generic na 2din HU, cost him 56k pesos. Susme, sa labas nasa around 15k lang yun maybe even lower.

Siguro wait for a few months muna para mapakiramdaman nyo yung HU kung may issues pero usually wala naman yan. And sobrang dali lang ibalik nung dating HU if ever. Tanggal, salpak lang. I have the Pioneer po kasi and tinutukan ko yung pag-install. The shop included some sort of connector para plug and play na lang yung Pioneer. Kapag wala kasi yung connector, puputulin yung stock wiring para maging compatible kumbaga sa Pioneer HU. Ayaw ko rin mag putol ng OEM wiring, sayang lang hehe. At least pwede ko ibalik sa dating HU anytime.

Got it, thank you! I will observe the existing audio set-up for a few more weeks just to see if anything should be fixed. If everything's ok, I should get the 2-din outside of casa but make sure that (1) the installation does not involve cutting of wires; and (2) I know how to return the old head unit if ever I need to.

I will clarify the warranty question na rin with Toyota when I go for my 1k PMS.

Btw, may I know where you had your Pioneer head unit installed?

Stuck pa rin kasi ako dun sa one-wiper mechanism ng mga medyo lumang Benz Bawas gastos din yan isang blade na lang papalitan :hysterical:

mga sir tanong naman 14 months n yung vios ko kailangan ba mag pa wheel alignment or camber alignment? baka kasi hindi pantay yung pag upod ng gulong. saan kaya maganda paayos. ty

Wouldn't hurt. Hanap ka lang ng medyo matinong gas station with laser alignment equipment. Pwede rin Servitek or Bridgestone.
