Guys, anyone tried or are using 93 RON sa 2.0li Gen2 Ravs? Oks lang ba, or at all costs, use only 95 RON and higher? I know of at least 2 owners that I've heard using 93 RON, but am still hesitant to try as well.

bro... in our manual it is specifically stated to use 95 RON.
though our engine will be able to handle 93 RON by adjusting the engine's timing - this is not recommended since this will result in decreased fuel economy & performance. when am issued a fuel allowance by the company I use 93 RON though this is very rare (only twice-thrice a year)
anyways - the price difference of 95 & 93 RON is very minimal for Caltex & Petron.Last edited by mazdamazda; October 30th, 2006 at 10:38 AM.

- poorer fuel consumption
- less hp & torque
plus it is not good for your engine in the long run (since naka retard ang timing).

October 31st, 2006 11:39 AM #1277ako guilty of using 93 RON minsan kse walang 95 RON yung mga gasolinahan.
pansin ko mas hiyang nga yung Rav4 pag 95 RON kesa sa 93 as per manufacturer recommendation.

November 24th, 2006 04:29 PM #1278Hello. I just registered dito sa Tsikot. Trying to look for 2nd hand rav 4 na 3-door. Or vitara sana. Need something na okay sa lubak lubak at di malakas sa gas. Unfortunately I think malakas sa gas supposedly ang rav 4/vitara?
