July 4th, 2014 07:33 AM #8932regarding sprint booster, theres a documentation over the net that the claim of sprint booster reducing the DELAY in TIME the throttle input is not true, it just reduces the pedal travel ex. that at half of pedal travel become full throttle, thats why the response is almost instantaneous, it manipulates only the VOLTAGE VALUE of throttle signal,
maninibago ka talaga pag meron saka wala.

July 4th, 2014 11:35 AM #8933What the throttle controller does is to alter the linearity of the voltage vs. Time of the pedal. Mathematically speaking it modifies the slope of the line.

July 4th, 2014 06:10 PM #8934it is pure gimmickry, in some way your correct in saying it reduces the time, because halfway of pedal travel of throttle your already in full throttle.
linearity from no input to anywhere between 1/3 - 2/3 of pedal travel, usually halfway your already 12v or full throttle iirc.
anyway good investment in rezing rezing or quick acceleration.
nakagamit ako nyan nalito ako nung una, so sensitive, mga 40km yata bago nagamayan.

In other words, if accelerator speed is from 1 to 10, sprint booster simply makes 1=3 or 5 depending on your setting. So you end up with just 3 to 10 or 5 to 10 instead of the normal 1 to 10 increments.

July 4th, 2014 08:08 PM #8936it only makes your pedal travel shorter, making the last half a dead area and unusable,
kumabaga sa gun, short take-up / short trigger.
you can mimic the response of sb by being quick in the foot, kakapagod yan hehehe.

Kasi yung throttle is a voltage controlled device which is directly proportional sa voltage output ng apak mo sa pedal, ngayun ang ginawa ng add on controller is to amplify that signal to make it appear na mas diin yung apak mo, therefore mas mag open ng malaki earlier yung throtte mo, so it means na reduce nga yung lag.
Based from the Toyota Service Manual, ito ang specs ng accelerator pedal:
Standard Voltage:0.6 to 1.0 V, so yun ang output range ng pedal.

July 4th, 2014 09:40 PM #8938I get it. You get the same effect pushing the pedal further and faster. I am thinking this can be done mechnically to shorten the pedal travel.
Kind of expensive stuff IMO for the thing it does.

July 4th, 2014 09:46 PM #8939Ganyan ang presyo nyan kasi limited production lang naman yan and of course the safety standard processes it went thru just to be certified as safe to use in vehicles.
So it is not expensive for the thing it does.
