hi! i'm the owner of a 2.5 months old innova e 2.5 diesel. got it for P965k from toyota pasong tamo (yeah, huge discounts from list price

with an odometer of roughly 2200 (with oil change at 1k km), fuel consumption is still 7.6 km/L city driving and I notice twitch of the engine (slight jerk at idle)...no other problems but the twitching and FC. idle is about 900 rpm. is this quite high?
note i'm easy on the gas, I have a vios 1.5G matic and i can get 10 km/L on gas there.

i also don't experience the twitch in my officemates innova diesel too.

is it because my ride is new and FC will improve over time? should i just wait for 5000 km to have it checked?
I expected an FC of 10 km/L too on my DSL innova and i'm getting frustrated due to the now small price difference
between gas and diesel

when i got my brand new 2005 d4d, i was getting 10-11 km/liter from the start. i think you should complain to your casa, unless you are into really very, very heavy traffic.

I use Toyota windshield wiper solution. mura lang naman eh Php90 per liter and i dilute it by 1:1 with wilkins dist. para sure na di mamuti ung paint na matatalsikan ng solution.

I own a Innova G diesel A/T. It's just less than one month old and based on the multi information display my fuel consumption is 9.7km/l. Based on my own computation I got around 10km/l. That's city driving. average speed is around 70-80km/hr. I just traveled to Bataan and my fuel consumption registered around 14km/l. By the way how did you compute your fuel consumption? Or did you just based it from the multi information display?

I also experience that twitch you mentioned and I surmised it's from the compressor. If your stuck on traffic you will notice you tachometer move up and down when the compressor engages/disengages. Normal lang yan.

One more thing I noticed specially pag bagong start lang pag abante may "swoosh" sound nanggagaling sa likod. Ganun din pag galing ng reverse at aabante na. Ano kaya yun?

parang malakas nga ah. lagpas na break in period nyan, pero bat parang di nag improve? hm, pa check mo next PMS mo. kasi sakin break in period pa, nakaka FC ako ng 14.7km/L sa first long drive nung innova G D-4D ko last nov. 2010 eh. tapos coty driving naman is pinakamataas nung break in period is 11.4km/L. tapos nag improve na sya ng nag improve. pinaka best FC ko, mix hiway and city driving was 18.3km/L and pinaka best naman city driving was 16.4km/L. although m/t yung unit ko.

panung swoosh sound sir? di ko po yata napapansin sa unit ko yun. ang napapansin ko lang po is pag bagong andar, pag ppreno ka sa pababa (kasi pababa dito samin) eh may screech sound. tapos pag mga naka ilang preno na, wala na sya. ganun din ba senyo? kasi nung bago pa din unit ko ganun din sir, although may narinig na rin ako na normal lang daw yung ganun, i wanna confirm kasi mas bago po yung unit nyo, hehe. :D

ah ganun ba sir. yung innova kasi dito samin din na E variant, ganun din, naririnig ko pag pababa sa gate ng subdivision, na sound na screech pag preno. mas bago yun sa unit ko eh, "T" series na ang plate number, hehe.
