Makukuha ko na yung unit sa saturday. Any tips mga sirs on what I should be checking sa innova and documents?
And ano palang diesel kinakarga sa innova? Salamat ng madami sa sasagot :D
I go for petron turbo diesel or shell nitro diesel.
I transferred my sub and amp from my other vehicle, pinagawa ko lang sa Evangelista since I did not know yet how to dismantle the panels
After 2 days, the HU stopped working. Kinabahan ako kasi baka biglang nasira yung stereo hehe, pero logic dictates that hindi dapat madamay yung HU if anything goes wrong with the amp and sub since yung remote and RCA wires lang yung connections dun.
Pwede ba gawin yun? Thanks
Hello Tsikoters!
Just got an Innova J .. probably one of the few units left for sale (accdg to the SA anyway) before the new Innova comes out this year..
As usual, Tsikot is a very, very useful resource in getting to know the ins and out of my new vehicle..
So far Im trying to read most of the posts here.. so its been very helpful. (although sometimes its slow in turning pages, dont know of its tsikot or my isp... plus when i use my ipad to browse, those ads keeps popping up..)
Anyway, I try to research and read first before asking questions (esp oft repeated questions..)
Is there a thread here specific to Innova Accessories I can add on (TS HU, Speakers, spoilers, rear camera, etc) or is it lumped together in this General Discussion thread? I did try to browse thru the main "At the Parking Lot" forums..but thats for all vehicles, and most posts are a bit old na
Meanwhile I'll continue to browse thru the previous posts... but I might be back to ask specific questions next time... hehe![]()
btw, just to contribute my own "New Car issues", I'll share mine.. (its very minor though)
Got the new Innova last Saturday, took it to Nuvali for a spin the next day, Valentines Day :inlove:
This Wednesday after filling up Gas in Manila, I had Tire Pressure checked..
and 1) I found out the Pressure was 45! I read in the manual it should be just 33...
2) After the gas boy reduced 3 tires to 33, the last one, the rear left tire, cant be deflated with the hose.. turns out it still has a rubber stopper in it.
Since I was coincidentally in Otis, I proceeded to Toyota Otis (not my Casa), and went straight to the Service Area, talked to some mechanics there who looked at it, tried to pry it out but cant, and gave up, told me to take it to my Casa because they might damage the pito daw and my tire gets deflated.
So this morning I took it to my Casa (Abad Santos) and 3 people looked at it (wearing the white polo), puzzled. One even adviced me to go back when its my 1K PMS na! I told them that might take a while and Im not driving around with a 4th wheel I cant measure the pressure..
(All along I was thinking I could do it myself using a paper clip, but I didnt want to in case ma damage nga hehe)
Finally they called in a mechanic (guy wearing blue mechanic coveralls) and he took out the hubcap (I guess for better leverage) and used a tool to pry out that pesky rubber stopper.
And they all act like its the first time theyve seen such a thing... I guess its an oversight from the Plant?
Questions:
1) Normal ba na 45 ang pressure of new cars? And di ba dangerous I drove around the highway with that much pressure.. kaya pala medyo bumpy.. akala ko ganun talaga ang Innova...lol. Although I havent hit the highway yet with the new 33 pressure..
2) Tama pala na 33 ang pressure, right? (accdg to the Manual)
3) Those guys in white polos in the service area (same uniform I guess with those CSAs in the office).. what do they do? CSA din? Mechanic weras the blue overalls...
What if I bought it in Las Pinas or somewhere farther and Im in Manila lang?
Wala lang , natawa ako, it took like 5 guys in 2 Casas to do such a simple thing![]()
my innova has 2smf. but it's a diesel.
why don't you just drop by or call the battery shop and the casa's stable of mechanics, sir? memoryado nila yang mga detalyeng yan..
Manufacturers will overinflate the tires by that much bec. the vehicle has to be shipped to its destination and there is some lead time involved before it eventually gets sold to the customer. It is the task of the dealership to do pre delivery checkup which include setting the tire pressure to the right value as indicated near the driver's side lower door sill.
Underinflated tires are far more dangerous and could lead to blow outs. Underinflated tires generate lots of heat which eventually result to blowouts.
You can locate the sticker that indicates the proper pressure (by the driver's side) or the owner's manual.
Guys in white polos are the service advisors. Think of them as the people who will face or deal with you regarding all your queries. They will "advice" you what to repair or replace. These guys have repair quotas to meet so take what they say with a grain of salt. Always have a second opinion elsewhere.
Guys in blue work overall are the mechanics. These are the individuals who work on the vehicle directly. The dealers rarely let these guys talk to the customers directly-That is the job of the service advisor.
Really surprising why they didn't know what to do.
Dealership should be able to accommodate any vehicles sold by Toyota Philippines.
Then again in your case they didn't want to accept any liabilities for something they did not sell directly.
At around 1500KMs, napansin ko there is an oily hose coming to the air filter housing:

Kailangan ko ba ng oil catch can? Saka ganito ba yung diagram, please confirm:

perhaps if you replace those manufacturing hose clamps with more efficient, aftermarket ones, you won't leak oil...
and the hoses look a little worn, as well. replace, too?
