General rule is get the highest variant that you can "conveniently" afford. May rason kaya sila higher variant at mas mahal. Ayaw mong magsisi sa huli na sana yung mas mataas na variant ang kinuha mo.

Pero as a guide, eto po suggestion ko :
1. List mo yung pagkakaiba nung 2 variants based sa latest brochure or by asking your sales agent. Pwede mo i-verify to by visiting the casa and checking an actual unit. *
2. Kunin mo yung discounted offer nung 2 variants na kinukumpara mo and not the published/posted price. Sinabi ko to kasi minsan magkakaiba ang discount depende sa variant. Price difference may actually be smaller or bigger depending on the running discount for the month.
3. Assess mo if yung price difference is worth-it based on the features found on the more expensive variant. Subjective to kaya ikaw lang po makakapagdecide kung worth-it nga ba yung added features or hindi. Kung di naman importante sa iyo ang collective value nung mga added features, mas makakatipid ka kung magsesettle ka sa more affordable variant. **

* Sa sample ko, nagsettle kami sa Vios E vs Vios J kasi walang matic sa J (wifey prefers matic). Nasuportahan din yung decision namin dahil sa added safety features ng E (ABS, EBD) tsaka yung convenience ng keyless entry at power outer mirrors. Versus the more expensive Vios G naman, aside from di kaya ng budget, ayaw din namin yung kulay ng interior (beige/cream G vs black sa E) at solb na kami sa 1.3 engine.

** For others, they buy the more affordable variant and buy just aftermarket upgrades outside of casa. This is always cheaper but the quality could be inferior. Also, going this direction voids your 3 year warranty in the affected features or functionalities of a car (eg. electronics for new head unit/gps, suspension for new mags).

kaka palit ko lang ng wiper rubber ng sa akin, nung una hinde ko rin alam tangalin, nakita ko lang sa you tube. una mong gawin i swing mo yung spring loaded na arm from the glass, mapapansin mo maluwag na yung blade di ba. tapos i rotate mo yung blade lang ng counter clockwise, mapapansin mo mag snap yan. pag balik reverse. or better check mo you tube hehe

Kung mahintay nyo pa po ng at least 1 year, may darating na 2.4 diesel engine(hilux/innova/fortuner).

Maraming salamat sir Dos2 sa mga very helpful tips. If ever pala na bumili ako E variant at pinalagyan ko ng mga aftermarket products like yung alarm kit ay mavovoid yung warranty para sa electronics? tama ba sir yung pagkakaintindi ko?

ok salamat sir, sa ngayon nagccheck pa kame ng mga promo baka sakaling mdjo bumaba pa ng presyo ng G variant. Ask ko na din sir possible ba na magbaba pa sila ng presyo if ever kung mga later this year kame mag purchase?

No specs yet po for the Innova, pero fortuner and hilux, meron na. Best po siguro to get one variant from the current model when the prices for the new 2016 innova is published. For sure madami na discounts by then; better comparison as well.

engine? maybe from 1KD-FTV to 1GD-FTV? which they say has better fuel efficiency than its predecessor.

Marami reklamo sa 1KD-FTV sa isang group sa FB ng Innova, halos same lang daw ng VVTi mag consume ng fuel yung A/T, ang advantage lang ay yung mura na presyo ng diesel.

All doors won't lock. It was intermittent but today it's not working anymore. Anybody encountered this and how you fixed it? Gusto ko sana i-DIY muna.

Well actually i have doubts on its odo but i already have the unit so i guess its not a biggy now.. It'll make me more like a fool if i give more deal right? Do we have a method on checking the real odo reading aside from checking its service booklet from toyota? (Fool look on my face now)

If i was fooled that its not really a 37k odo,is it an issue to other innova user bout the thud sound upon shifting gear?

Yang "thud" sound ba na yan ay coming from Neutral to 1st gear? if yes, ganyan din sa akin. 2012 J VVTi Manual. since nung ni release namin siya ganun na and wala naman performance issue kaya hinayaan ko nalang. and besides, mahinang 'thud' lang yun. my innova's odo now around 64,000kms. smooth shifting naman except for the occasional 'thud' sound when shifting from neutral to 1st.

It's rare that all 4 magnetic contactors to push the door lock gets broken at same time but if same on the video, the alarm was working, the local lock on doors however is also not working. The central lock control must have been the problem. If still casa maintained better dun na lng, otherwise a good electrician can traced/troubleshoot this easily.
