Yikes. Kawawa naman yung front passenger in case of an emergency!
Perhaps there may be a way to reinstall and still get rid of the rattle.

    of course there should be!
a simple look-see of the un-removed structure should give one ideas on how to remove the vibrations.
    hindi naman maingay ang iba...

as the thread starter said, "one day there was no noise, the next day, meron nang noise."
    something must have happened.

The next PMS on the 2024 Innova G 2.8 is 5k km . I'm still a long ways towards that so here's my question...

Will casa do the 5k PMS except the motor oil and oil filter change?

Reason being, I want to use my own type of oil so I'll just probably do that elsewhere or DIY. I know enough that casa does not allow customer-brought fluids into the PMS, among other things. So, can I cross out the oil and oil filter replacement from the job order and still count it as a PMS and keep my warranty?

AFAIK crossing out the oil change you are essentially crossing out the whole PMS since its an integral component. In any case I think once the casa finds out you did a service or oil change outside, warranty is automatically void.

That's exactly what I'm thinking, but I would rather hear it from someone who have actually tried it, and was either successful or otherwise.

Better to have it and not use it, rather than not have it but need it.

How does immobiliser works? AFAIK innova G 2024 has immobiliser. First of all I don't really understand fully kung ano gagawin, I'm not an expert sa parts ng susian. And I'm not sure kung may immobilizer nga innova G 2024. And I'm not sure if this service will affect the immobilizer. Baka pagkatapos palitan lahat a
Eh ma immobiize yung sasakyan dahil hindi na consider. Our other option is to Toyota + insurance. Initial price eh ₱2k for participation. Pero hindi pa alam kung may dagdag pa or kung gaano katagal. It seems Toyota is a better choice.

kapag change key combination Sir 2 keys with remote na po is 18K Sir

garantisado na po yun na hindi gagana ang remote also ang susi na nawala at yung hawakl mo ngayon.

Ang gagana nalang is yung gawa ko Sir

sagad ko po 16K last price. Home service na din po yan

in truth, i do not understand what the peddler is saying. parang may kulang.

    not all "immobilizers" are equal.
it depends on the intelligence of the "immobilizer".

in the most basic version, as the peddler said, all the electronics does is to wirelessly lock and unlock the door lock.
an ordinary key from the corner locksmith, with the correct teeth, will open the doorlock and inactivate the "immobilizer".
one can actually use the car regularly, using just the key.
this is what my 1gen innova, my ancient altis, and my 1gen wigo, all have.

in the more exotic "immobilizer", the key has an electronic doodad in it (a "transponder"), that sends out a signal to the car's immobilizer. without this special key, even the correct-teeth key but without transponder, can command the immobilizer to turn off certain electricals, etc etc. the engine won't start.
sabi nga sa car ad, "you will have to carry the car on your back, if you want to steal it".

i wonder, what does the new high-end innova have...

I'm guessing the former. The innova came with 2 remote keys and 1 manual key that doesn't have any battery or remote. I doubt a manual let like that have transponder.

My wife will just choose the casa/insurance route. ₱2k participation fee + any additional would still be cheaper than the ₱16k. Yun nga lang, itong automotive locksmith eh half day lang and home service pa. Toyota and insurance might take 1 to 3 months. Maybe even more kung pahirapan mag release ng bayad ang insurance.
