It is almost time to replace the four tires of our 2012 Innova.
From 205/65/r15, 207/70/r15 ikakabit ko. I was hesistant to try this bigger tire before because it more than the 3% tolerance. Anyway, I asked a friend who tried this before and okay naman (also same with what I read here na wala naman naging problem).

Okay pa din ba to stick with Yokohama? We've been using Aspec eversince pero open naman ako to other brands.

Any recommended brands and model within the affordability range of Yokohama?

Or can you tell me what what brand/model to avoid.

    Thanks!

I have a query regarding Innova aircon. I use to drive my vehicle alone during weekdays and I see to it to turn off the aircon in the second row seat so only the front aircon is working. Is this a good practice to prolong the life of rear expansion valve and evaporator coil? or just the same if I turn it on all the time?

Even if I am alone in the car, I still set the aircon at the back on to half the front aircon to cool the car faster and specially at noon

I use the rear aircon sparingly.

The rear A/C, at least on the 1st gen Innova (no idea with the 2nd gen), does NOT have a filter. The more time you use it, the faster the rear evaporator coil gums up with dirt. This is especially exacerbated with the fact that the 1st gen Innova wan't designed well to stop outside air from getting in.

I only turn it on when there are rear passengers or if I need to cool down the whole passenger cabin quickly. I use just the front A/C more than 90% of the time.

Yes that is also what I fear that the dirt could gums up with the rear evap coil thats why turning off the rear aircon I think would prolong its life and is quite messy to have it replaced.

Rear aircon is always ON even if I am the only person inside. Cools the vehicles faster. And my previous AC technician said that not using the aircon tend to lock up the expansion valve.

the 2TR-FE engine uses a timing chain. normally timing chains last the life of the vehicle. i'm not sure about its tensioner though. something to look into if the engine is noisy.
