May blanking plates na manipis para hind madaling mahalata na ginalaw. Meron din thick plates na totally deleted yung EGR tube, pero madali lang naman ibalik yun. Pinili ko yung thicker plates na route

Or you can PM bro zix888...

He will provide the blocking/blanking plate and will install it for you... In 5 minutes, may kwento pang kasama....

There's a platform design defect on the previous gen Innova, Fortuner and Hilux. There's a significant amount of outside air that leaks into the cabin through the front A/C 'fresh air' vent and the rear body one-way vents (Innova and Fortuner). This was disclosed to me by my SA and would probably not go on record with that.

Anyway, I fixed mine by taping as many holes I can find under the rear bumper and covered up the front inlet air vents located under the wiper cowl. I always keep the A/C in recirculate anyway. Since then the front A/C has been recirculating 100% cabin air and I can no longer smell the exhaust gases from vehicles in front of me.

In the rear however, I can still discern outside exhaust air entering the rear A/C. I might try using spray foam to isolate the A/C blower so it will only recirculate interior air. Tintamad pa ako baklasin yung rear interior side panel as it required a bit of elbow grease.

If you've owned any of the cars I mentioned for at least several months, you'll notice that the interior panels would have a thin film of black soot (or libag). That's too much outside air entering the vents and settling down on the interior panels and upholstery. I know that this is not normal because I've owned an '08 Civic before this and right up to the point I sold it last year, the interior looks pristine.

egr deletion eh complete disassembly ng egr related parts ata, blanking pa rin naman yung thicker plate route pero hindi na ikakabit yung tube

may instances kasi dun sa old 4x4PH forum na nagmemelt ang thin plates sandwiched between the tube kaya nagcicirculate ulit. eh with the tube still in you wont really know if it is still functioning

i'm not sure about that vent leak...
i read some time ago, that cars' vents are designed to be "imperfect seals".
if they were perfect seals, there would be a danger of carbon monoxide poisoning in the passenger cabin.

Imperfect is one thing. Downright ineffective (re: re-circulation mode) is what Toyota did to these cars.

Anyway, you're not going to die of CO if there's no outside exhaust gases coming in. Pwede pa CO2 intoxication. But that will mean you'll have to be in there for a long time.
