Dre,
Yung AC sa rear its normal, its even longer if your car is parked in open spaces. for the insurance, it may be too expensive for a J variant, 7000k. but maybe due to inclusion of damaged due to flood. anyway on the remote issue, most car alarm system uses RF (analog signal) or radio frequency which operates at very low spectrum or bandwidth while most of the mobile uses 2G or GSM or 3G signal (they are at the 800 MHZ to 1800 MHZ bandwith). so the signal coming from your remote key cannot be transmitted into your cellphone. well masyado malalim pa explanation but just a simple analogy, a simple radio has two bandwith an AM and FM both cannot transmit & operate at same bandwith coz of signal interfrence issue. But dont worry in not so distant future, we will have the car remote/GPS integrated in the cellphones as well.
