used to take me a couple of days only to set a PMS appointment. ngayon the lead time is more than a week

anyway, any of you guys experience hearing a slight noise on the stick shift of a manual tranny while on 3rd or 4th ? mine has this low sounding whine. am having the service center take a look at it after the holy week holidays.

^sa akin wala naman, minsan lang me sabit kaya mahirap mag kambyo... fully depressed naman yung clutch...


BTW di ba pedeng basta punta na lang sa casa? di ka ba papansinin pag di ka nag pas sched? thanks...

At 3rd or 4th gear the turbo kicks in, and you will notice a surge in power and a low whistling sound. That is the sound of the turbo.

If I'm correct, it has none to do with your transmission.

update lang po

had my 5K PMS this afternoon at Tyt Otis... paid P 1,357.20 for 6 liters of mineral oil, oil filter... they inspected the air filter, brake pads & discs, steering wheel & linkage, headlights, taillights, windshield washer fluid, coolant, battery and refilled them.

Just to clarify Miss Liv. This means you paid the same amount for your 1000 PMS? Do they change the oil filter at 1000? and change it again at 5000?

When are you planning to change to fully synthetic?

Guys I inquired about HID sa casa and they are offering an OEM for Innova. I read the thread on HID and I am begining to have second thoughts on installing HID in my Innova. Apparently Innova has a reflector type headlights that are not adaptable for HID.

I'll appreciate a comment from an Innova owner with HID.

Watch out on the battery water level, sometimes they are filling it too high, splashes can corrode the underneath of your hood, and overflow can corrode the immediate metal parts underneath the battery.

The last time I had my PMS, they overfilled my battery and some splashes makes fine dots on the paint underneath my car hood. I can visibly notice those fine dots as I always keep clean my engine bay. For the overflow battery solution on top of the battery I immediately wash them with water.

Because of this incident I have put a large rubber mat on top of the battery to prevent splashes of battery solution underneath the hood.

Damn!!! I was wondering why they don't gave us maintenance free battery

that's also my concern... that they overfill the battery... that's why i immediately checked it... fortunately, the water level is just about right.


all the while i thought that the G variant already comes with a maintenance free battery. hindi pa pala lahat.

mas maganda kung magpa schedule ka... minsan kasi natataon na marami silang gawa kaya kung sino yung me schedule... yon ang priority... pwede mo naman idaan na lang sa ahente mo para sya na lang magpa sched... ganun ang ginagawa ko.

the cost is almost the same as my 1K PMS... though i omitted the carwash this time coz i prefer to have my baby carwashed by Big Bert's only or just myself. maselan kasi ako pagdating ke baby j ko eh.hehe... they did change the oil filter at 1K & 5K... i might shift to fully synthetic on my 10K PMS but nothing's definite yet... my ride is not a daily driver hence the 5K PMS only after 9 months.

mine at. G model,yung akin 1t km pa lng fully synthetic na ok lng daw e. sumunod ko 10t km na ang ballik ngyn 16t km sa 20t km naman ang balik wala naman naging problema. isa lng ang sira sa akin nag blink pa rin ang ilaw ko sa panel paminsan minsan di naman nila mahanap ang sira.

taga malabon din ako,sino ba dyan taga malabon? catmon ako.

April ang renewal ko. Sa banko ni misis naka-pasok yung Insurance ko so check nya pa pag balik from ML. Ang alam ko pwedeng installment for 3 months yung insurance ng unit ko. Baka halos maging kaunti lang ibaba ng premium ko. Ipapasama ko yung mags/tires at accessories ng dinagdag ko. Before kasi, pure unit lang.

from the first year, almost 900+ lang binaba ng quote sakin ngayon... pure unit pa yon ha... papasama ko rin yung mga accessories ngayon... pwede nga 3 months installment.

different strokes for different folks ika nga... sakin kasi thinking ko eh nasa break-in stage pa rin from 1K kahit pa 5K... kaya me mga metal shavings pang sasama sa langis... mas maganda syempre kung mai flush out agad ito... kaya mineral oil pa lang gamit ko.

BTW, me EB sa Mar. 29 sa 'D Fort... baka lang di ka aware.

sa akin 23t una ko insurance sumunod na taon parang mga 18t na lng. 3 months to pay.post dated check.sa casa insurance sa manila bay pa. sabi kc sa akin mas maganda hanggang sa 3yrs warranty para pag nabangga casa pa rin ang mag aayos.pero sa totoo mas mura na sa labas ang insurance natin.

sama ko sa eb sa tagaytay o subic basta sunday a.kailan ba fun run natin?

Ask ko lang , I have an Innova J D4, balak ko mag pa -install ng power window brand daw Shark, any feedback on this.... asking price saken 18k..... Thanks.... bago ako magpakabit....

I have mine installed at Toyota Makati at P16K. May discount kasi ang nestle na 20%, original price at P20k, shark brand.

More than 6 months ng nakakabit, walang problema. Hussle kasi pag di power, ang binabayaran dito yung convenience lalo na pagbabae ang mabubukas ng manual mabigat.

Bago lang po ko dito. I still don't have an innova yet but i'm trying to convince my husband to buy the innova d4d e m/t kasi parang ang practical niya. Gusto niya kasi ng kia carens o hyundai santa fe (which is beyond my budget na). I know na medyo ibang category na yung santa fe, parang di na siya comparable sa innova, but can you give me points to tell my husband to convince him na innova na lang bilhin?

sabi niya kasi dami daw problems sa diesel engine, matagtag, hindi daw consistent yung fuel consumption, etc. I know walang kotse na perfect, pati carens & santa fe may drawbacks din, but can you enlighten me re the tried & tested selling points of the innova?

Pareho naman po ok yan Innova or Carens, depende lang po sa purpose nyo at budget. Also sino po ba ang gagamit, kasi importante po na yung gagamit ay ang may gusto sa bibilin nyong kotse, kasi sya rin po ang mag-aalaga at the end.

Isa lang po ang payo ko sa inyo, visit both Toyota and Kia dealers, test drive both cars and decide.

May 1 year warranty yan. Yung sa akin, sa Toyota Makati ko pinakabit. Naka-record sa warranty booklet na nag-install sila ng fog lamps. Masyadong maaga para ma-busted yung bulb nyan. I-claim mo na lang.

FYI: Pareho po kami gagamit, pareho po kami babayad, pareho po kami magaalaga (actually mas ako pa, kasi ako palaging nagreremind o gumagawa ng mga car maintenance namin), but since I have respect for my husband, the ultimate decision goes to him.

We HAVE gone to all the dealers and listened to all the sales pitches, ginalugad na namin ang buong westgate, nakaabot na kami ng commerce ave at sucat. Unfortunately, toyota does not offer test drives, & i don't understand why.

We have settled on these 3 units because we need a service unit that is capable of work (yung tipong di ka takot gamitin, pangharabas) pero comfortable naman, and medyo 1.2 M max. We have other units that we use.

Meron kaming first hand experience about other units of the same & other brands, pero wala kaming first hand experience sa carens & innova.The reason why I posted my message on this board is to get the opinion of people who HAVE first hand experience on the innova. Sales pitches are never reliable.

To be more specific: Okay na ba yung diesel engine ngayon? Ok ba yung suspension? Ok ba yung fuel consumption ngayon ng 2008 model? Kamusta yung problems ng diesel ng toyota now compared to yung mga na-recall na manufactured from jan-oct 2005? If I were to get the gas variant instead to avoid the hassle (we're 1st time diesel users), kamusta naman yung consumption nun?

I've tried searching tsikot pero puro sa 1st message ng thread nito ako nadidirect, and mahirap to wade through 3 years of messages. As for the FC, walang masyadong info on the FC of the gas variant, pa-isaisa lang.

Hope this clears it up.
