Toyota Hiace Commuter/GL Grandia/Super Grandia Owners & Discussions Thread [Merged]

Hi there. New to the forums.

I've ridden the Commuter version and the GL Grandia, and I must say that the Grandia is roomier. Pero more or less it's about the same ng Starex. But both are good.

Toyota has always been my family's car. Tibay eh, even our old late 90's Hiace lakas pa rin ng AC. Of course napalitan na rin yung compressor and a couple of timing belts, but the thing still hauls ass.

I suggest you go with 215 up to 225 tire widths only. If you wanna change wheels, you can go with 16s with a 55 profile tire sidewall.

sir kung mag papalit ako ng super grandia stock rim and tire,pwede kaya sa grandia GL ko.di ba same body lang sila ng super grandia and grandia GL..

Correction sir, Commuter is a whole different version of the HiAce family, so as the GL Grandia and the Super Grandia, so basically 3 and trim ng HiAce van. So hindi sya "Commuter version of Grandia".

Commuter is a tad smaller than those two because as the name suggest, it's usually used for shuttle or school services. People hauler ika nga whereas the GL and the Super G, while being a people hauler too, has a bit of 'luxury' in them being spacious and having less seats.

What I cannot fully understand is the fact that there's a 500k peso difference in prices of Commuter VS a GL Grandia, more if you chose a Super G which approaches 2M.

Pwede siguro but i'm not 100% sure as i haven't done it personally (as we own just the Commuter) but I have seen lots of GL Grandias sporting Super G's mags and tires.

You can always go to a tire shop and have yours fitted (the same tire and wheel size).
Just be friendly and they'll hook you up.

mga boss bago lang ako dito sa tsikot? tanong ko lng sana kung pwdeng ipamodify yung upuan ng commuter? na gawing 18 seater or kung possible ba? san kaya? at mgkano? thanks
