anyhow, its next to impossible to put an adult-sized third-row seat into a body-on-frame vehicle with a live rear axle. by design, the floor behind the second row would be high, and unless they raise the roof by a foot or two and extend the rear hatch rearward (which of course, will never be done), expect only children-sized seats. that said, useful pa rin naman yung seat na yan in a pinch.
notice that trucks and SUVs with passable rear seats are monocoque or are simply behemoth-sized (e.g. gen2 expedition, suburban). kahit yung tahoe masikip ang third row seat

Sana, one of the tsikoteers would write an official review of this SUV as soon as it comes out and when pwede na ma-test drive! Andami na kasing mga nasasabi about this!
I'm sure, marami ng mga taga-TSIKOT.com ang hindi nakakatulog waiting for the official launching nitong FORTUNER! HE HE HE! :bwahaha:Last edited by cyberdoc95; April 2nd, 2005 at 11:37 AM.

April 4th, 2005 08:17 AM #105from a toyota insider, fortuner will range from 1.2m to 1.4m. They will have a 4x4 2.5 d4d engine and a 4x4 3.0 d4d engine. Pinapaubos muna yung mga rav4 dahil maiipit daw ang mga units bago ilabas ang fortuner sa june

Consider, in Thailand, the Hi-Lux 4x4 (3.0 D4D A/T) = THB 861,000.00. Sold in the Philippines PHP 1,305,000.00. By ratio and proportion alone, putting into consideration that the Fortuner (3.0 D4D A/T) = THB 1,219,000.00, the Philippine price would come out as PHP 1,847,613.24.
Here's an alternate computation:
THB 1 = PHP 1.4017
Hi-Lux 4x4 (3.0 D4D A/T) = THB 861,000.00 = PHP 1,206,863.70
Since its sold in RP as P1.305M, we can deduce a tax rate of 8.13%.
Applying this to the Fortuner (3.0 D4D A/T) = THB 1,219,000.00 = PHP 1,708,672.30. Add the 8.13% tax and you'll get the Fortuner at PHP 1,847,587.36.
Ergo, maghanda na kayo ng P1.9M ninyo (insurance pa kasi)!Last edited by vicoyski; April 4th, 2005 at 03:26 PM. Reason: Updated the computations...
