toyota applied for trademark registration of the name FORTUNER with the philippine IPO last 23 june 2003 so they must be mulling a local release of a vehicle with this name (but perhaps not necessarily this model???)

according to auto report, this SUV is for export to the middle east while the vigo is for asia (http://www.auto-report.net/index.html?toyota040825.html)

on the other hand, the other bakod however cites a source from toyota saying that the fortuner will be released locally on the 2nd quarter of 2005

baka may tsikoteers tayo from toyota who can give us more information on this

carlo, sa tingin ko in between siya ng prado and rav4. kasi after ng rav4, biglang sobrang layo ng gap nya.

mukhang naghihintayan lang ang ibang car manufacturers maglabas ng kani kanilang pick-up based SUVs. nauna na ang everest... ewan na lang kung kaya nilang i-match ang price ng everest...

DAPAT TALAGA MAGLABAS NA SILA NG PICKUP TRUCK BASE SUVS. MAY HI END SUVS, n cute utes so its time na to cater to the mid segment suv market. ripe na ang time esp now that the AUVs are a dying breed dahil wala na silang 10seater tax exemot rule. mitsubishi is gonna bring in the challenger(montero Sport), nissan should bring a terrano2 or something, toyota has lots in its lineup,(hilander, fortrunner, hiluxsurf), isuzu should that suv base sa dmax pick up. im sure we'll have a lot more choices sa 4x4s. OFFROASDING TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
