I am using Avanza E A/T 2018. Not fuel efficient in city driving.

Do I need to remove the dashboard to clean the A/C evaporator filter?

The latest Avanza models are not fuel efficient as compared to the 1st gens.

Are you referring to the cabin filter??? Normally nasa likod ng glove compartment lang yan.

Kamusta kaya ito when you drive it up to baguio and going down as well? Normally I switch off O/D para hindi hirap ang makina. Sort of engine break na din when you switch the O/D off.

Use the L(low gear). The Avanza has weak brakes sa downhill(30 to 35 degrees) parang feeling mo na hindi siya kakagat kahit naka L gear

    i don't avanza, but,
fusebox kutingting (and fuse replacement) is howner-friendly.
usually, sinisikwat lang ng flat-blade screwdriver yung lock. in some cars, fingers alone will open it. we just have to know what to move.
it should be in the manual, sir.
just looking at your picture, it might be that protruding piece of plastic. just carefully flick the plastic part upward. i seem to see the locking tongue in the clip at the leftmost in your last picture.

not the metal bolt! fusebox housing retaining bolt yan yata! for removing fusebox en toto.

sealed yan, pero kung gusto mo buksan use cutter, painitin mo muna para matunaw yung plastic
ready mo cabin filter mo after that

Engot ang nagkabit, hindi lapat yun lock

Hinihila lang yan, pull the lock, at the bottom of the Dsticker. Bali na ata yung other lock on the left

    Dont be scared

Nope, that's the model with a blanked-off cabin filter compartment.

The only 'cheap' way to work around it is to hack it... like what this guy did.

I have Avanza 1.5G 2012 model and I need to change the Rear Wiper blade

    Question:
The rear wiper blade seems to be 14 inch long, just the same as the passenger side front wiper blade. Does it mean they're interchangeable and the hook and clips just the same? Or do I have to buy a specialty wiper blade compatible only with the rear?

    Needs:
    - space. only 1-2 pax most of the time so i dont need the seats but i want the space an mpv affords. Im not a light packer.
    - medyo matibay na pangilalim. Im not a careful driver and i frequently drive out of town. I feel a ladder frame rwd would last longer/be easier to maintain vs a fwd monocoque.

I don't want the size and heft of an suv. Original plan was a jimny kaso masyado naman maliit. The only in-between i could find is the avanza. Im looking at the 1.5 at. Looks wala ako masyadong paki. Comfort could be fixed...im thinking just add comfortable seat covers ok na. I also don't want to spend money on a vehicle...focusing my resources to complete buying a house asap. Although at 1M medyo steep na rin...

    Your thoughts?

Ok naman ang AVANZA. Sa amin ay 2012 model 1.5G ngayon lang ako magpapalit ng shock, tie rod end, rock end (all front)
