I just have a newly bought Avanza delivered to me just last month October. My question is my total mileage is currently 560km.
According to Toyota, there's a 1000km and 5000km free maintenance checkup, excluding the consumables. My question is since I'll be using the car very rarely, it might take 10 months before it reaches 1000 km and even 5000km.
So if I brought the car for free maintenance checkup on the 10th month, will it still be free?
10 months for 1,000kms? that's a long time.. i think you should bring the car for the 1K PMS after 3 months. The 1K PMS change oil is very important. The warranty booklet also states that PMS should be 3 months or 5K whichever comes first.
astigin talaga ang black gusto ko rin yang kulay na yan ehh pero nakuha ko red mica last october 10 lang po.. naka 1month na si vanzie ahihihihihi
I see. OK, so I'll bring the car for the PMS after 3 months. The warranty booklet also states that the PMS is every 3 months.
Now, after the first 3 months is finished, and if I rarely use the vehicle, let's say if it only runs 100 km a month, is it still practical to bring it to toyota every 3 months for the PMS?
after the 1K PMS, you can bring it back every 6 months if the mileage is not that high.. or twice a year..
I see. This is my first time to own and drive a car so don't know much.
Now, I suspect that after my first important 3-month PMS for the change oil, my mileage readings will be 650-700km. Supposed that it's still within the break-in period after 6 months, since I'll be rarely using it, is another change oil necessary? The manual states every 10 months for the engine oil change if mileage is not that high.
if you rarely use the car, once a year change oil should be ok.
how come your mileage is too low?
We thought we'll be using it often when the time we bought it so the mileage won't be that high.
I still don't understand why the first 3-month change oil is very important. I read an information in the internet that modern cars do not leave that much debris because of fine machinery. Is that true? Also, does the first 3-month change oil includes the transmission oil?

sir, your case is almost exactly as mine (J model). my avanzki is already 8 month but the odometer is only around 6+++km. on my avanzki's 7 month, I went to toyota otis to have a 5000km pms, but when my SA saw that it's only above 4000km. he advised me to bring it na lang when it reaches 5000km. he said that the pms labor is free even if my avanzki was more than 7 months that time.
here's what i did during my 1k and 5k pms:
1000km pms: odometer reading: 1235km (estimate).
casa: toyota otis
cost of parts and service: 1,2++.++ (3 liters mineral oil, oil filter and body wash)
labor: free
old: Avanzki was more than 3 months old when I had it service for 1000km pms.
5000km pms: odometer reading 53++km
casa: toyota otis
cost of parts and service: 1,6++.++ (3 liters mineral oil, oil filter, body wash and engine detail)
labor: free
old: Avanzki was more than 8 months old when I had it service for 5000km pms.
