Pa double chaek na lang ang 89 octane sa Manual, I might be wrong. Sa 1.6 Altis alam ko na 89 Octane. di ko na masyadong sure sa Avanza natin.

Naku nakalimutan ko na kung magkano score ko sa rain gutter ko, noon ko pa kasi yun pina-install nung time na kakukuha ko pa lang kay vanzy sa casa, halungkatin ko muna ang mga resibo ko tapos balikan kita next time sa presyo nya...

eh yung roof rail mo sir magkano ang score mo?

sir jaspi11, parang eto yung idinidikit na wooden finish sa panel, steering wheel, power window and lock control...hindi ko lang sure kung dashboard kit nga ang tawag don. thanks.

To give you an estimate Roof Rail from Toyota (Part No. 63450-YZA03), it costs Php7,741.00 (c/o Toyota Alabang Inc.). May 10% discount pa 'yan if you have Toyota Discount Card.

Pag sinabing walang lead (unleaded) walang halong tingga ang fuel. Ang tingga kasi ay ginagamit na lubricant para sa piston and cylinder ng makina. Basically phased out na ang mga leaded gasolines (pero sa povinces ay mayroon pang "regular" fuel). Clean air act?

Ang petron XCS, caltex silver, caltex gold, shell unleaded, etc are all unleaded fuels. Ang pinagkaiba lang are additives pang palit sa lead and other stuff. Of course, depende sa blend ng fuel ay ang octane rating.

Ang Avanza J (di ko lang alam sa 1.5 G) ang minimum requirement ay unleaded na 89 octane. So ang 93 octane na typical fuel dito sa atin ay ok na ok na sa rides natin.

I have been using 93 octane unleaded fuels sa Avanza ko. Dati sa shell (unleaded) now sa caltex silver. Walang effect sa akin kung Caltex Gold (premium fuel ng caltex) ang gagamitin ko.

Dahil sa may electronics ang engine natin, puwedeng mag adjust ng timing automatically. Iyon lang nga di ko alam kung kaya ng engine natin na ma take advantage ang mas mahal na fuel. Sa pagkakaalam ko, fixed ang compression ng engines natin.

Ganda ng paliwanag mo sir! marami talaga tayong matutunan dito.....

Thanks. Yes your correct. i just checked wikipedia regarding lead in gasolines. Akala ko ang nalaman ko nuon na ang lead ay ang lubricant for the engine ay mali pala.

Mga Sirs someone asked earlier if may nakapag palit na ng battery for Avanza.

Mine was replaced today with Outlast NS40 (Maintenance Free Battery)

Para sa mga katulad ko na newbie....FYI lang ....once the battery is replaced mare-reset pala yung car stereo. Akala ko na sira na o may pinaki-alaman yung mechanic since hindi nag fufunction yung radio or cd.... may lumalabas lang na CODE: __ ___ ___ ___ then I remembered that I activated pala earlier yung security ng stereo....so when I entered the correct password ok na ulit yung stereo.

Note: it will not even allow you to eject any CD left inside the player (Kenwood 86120-YZA59 bundled with the car)

dagdag lang po....
sa pagkakaalam ko, lahat ng available na gasoline sa metro manila, unleaded na. however, yung shell premium is formulated for older cars, lalo na yung mga de carburator pa. which is why me price difference although pareho lang silang 93 ang octane rating.
dati, ito rin yung purpose ng petron xcs plus, pero pinalitan na ng xcs unleaded.

yup taga Kalookan po ako kaya lang hindi po sa grace park, upper kalookan po (bagong barrio) malapit sa novaliches qc. outskirt ng metro manila pero malapit din sa lahat gawa ng mga short-cuts ngayon.
sa ngayon nagbabasa ako ng mga previous quotes, very educational at informative ang forum na to. so keep up the good works guys....
