Hi All,
This is the first time that i have posted though i've been lurking around since January this year.

This thread has been very informative and helped me decide in getting an Avanza as well. We got our Avanza just this November.

BTW, how long does it usually take before license plates are release?

Typically around 6 weeks to 8 weeks. Pag minalas, umaabot ng 3 months.

Got mine in almost 6 weeks. Plate and Stickers.

Hi meledson. Query lang sa pinakabit mo na foglamps. Malinis ba ang pagka-install ng wirings and switch? Malaki din ba ang naitulong sa illumination? I'm planning din kasi to have my Avanza installed ng foglamps sa casa. Thank you.

Sa Torota Ortigas ako nagpakabit. Dito rin nagpakabit si dfcsantos, pero iba ang ikinabit sa kanya.

Isa-isahin natin.

Wiring sa engine bay. - acceptable.
Unlike ng original wiring harness naka tali lang ng cable tie pero mayroon naman tubing kung saan dumaan nag wires. Acceptable lang kasi from the right fog lamp to the left fog lamp, di naka tali ang tubing, medyo naka dangle.

Fog lamp switch - good
Kasama sa wiring harness ng fog lamps is a back-lighted push button switch. Ang comment ko lang ay di masyadong halata kung naka press or not ang switch, mga less than 2 mm lang ang pagkalubog mula sa un-pressed position. May back light ang switch, pero walang indicator kung naka on nga ang fog lamps.

Illumination - good
ang head lights kasi mas marami ang ilaw na ibinabato sa harap, minimal lang sa sides and sa harap mismo ng sasakyan. Ang naikabit na fog lamps, wala masyado sa distance, pero ang liwanag ng sides and sa harap ng sasakyan na di masyadong naiilawan ng dim lights. Good lang kasi di ako masasaya sa pattern ng buga ng fog lamps. May sayang na illumination.


Will I advice na magpakabit? Yes. Malaking tulong sa illumination at dagdag porma din. gamit na gamit ko ito sa SLEX para kita ko kung saan ang gilid ng daan at nasisilaw ako sa kasalubong ko.

Si dfcsantos ay nakapag renew na ng insurance nya. He got a very good deal.

That's normal because you are still in Drive the vehicle is still in gear and will move. The noise you hear is the brake pads rubbing/friction against the brake rotors as it grabs and releases because you are not stepping on the brakes with full pressure. ABS has nothing to do with it as any A/T vehicle will do the same if the brakes are not stepped on with full pressure.

i got mine almost 4 months din.. i requested for an ending number kase.. pero dko rin nakuha. sabe ng LTO department sa toyota.. kasalanan daw ng ahente kase mali daw ung number na nilagay sa paper.. H A S S L E!

got mine from winebrenner and inigo insurance brokers for 9830.32 with acts of god and nature. 2k participation ko in case na may claims. fyi, i think this is taxfree kasi sa office ng wife ko kinuha kaya siguro mababa. 1st yr insurance ko was just 10k+. 1.3j white unit ko

query lang po regarding use of nitrogen. in case ma deflate or ma flat tire during your trip, pwede bang dagdagan ng ordinary air? I understand hindi available ang nitrogen sa lahat ng bayan?

parehas pala tayo na scarlet fury. Curious lang ako sa iba nating kasama. red mica ang kulay nila. parehas lang ba yun?

bro, noong yuna, akala ko parehas lang yan. pero i've noticed na mas deeper ang tone ng red mica, which is nearer sa maroon. pero kung sa nmalayo, identical na rin yun .
and actually, la color na red mica tong avanza natin

I have a question for those using Avanza A/T ...

Is it normal na pag naka D ka then tapak mo ung break (ng hindi gaano sagad) .. may tumutunog? It's not affecting anything naman.. I'm just worried baka kase kung ano un.. I had this checked sa TQA twice already..

1st time wala naman daw problema. 2nd time nilinis lng daw ung break..

any insights?

ganayn din ang sa akin, bro. pag release mo ng brake, medyo me tumutunog. then later, napansin ko, galing pala sa preno. pero later on, nawawala siya. and, hindi tumutunog pag nakahinto ka, lagay sa N sabay apak ng brake, then pag arangka, lagay mo sa D, then release ang preno.
Jusst my observation.
