Very busy so ngaun lang ulit naka post.
I need to spread this out. Just this 1230 pm today in a secured car park of South Super Hiway MEdical Center, after my driver turned his back, thieves broke my right rear passenger window, took out my operating room bag which they thought maraming laman. E pang opera ko lang yung andun na scrub suit. Thank god hindi nila dinali driver ko.
These guys working along south area. I grew up in BF pque and they are breaking into every car they know has a bag at the rear. Lalo na yung mukhang laptop bag. Kaya Ingat, Ingat.
Napapa iyak ako. sobra alaga avanza ko. Ayan a little scratch and broken window.

sorry to hear about your incident doc.. sa Condo nga namin.. nauuso basagan nang salamin.. hanggang ngayon hindi pa nahuhuli.. sa basement parking yun ha.. kagabi.. may binasagan na naman nang salamin.. limas yung laman sa loob..

kaya ako hindi na ako nag iiwan nang kahit ano sa loob.. CDs lang tsaka paperworks.. yung rayban ko dati iniiwan ko don.. ngayon hindi na rin.. baka madale pa..

sorry to hear that.. it could happened to anyone of us, anywhere di na talaga safe. just the other Sunday, a brother in our community had experienced the same thing * ming's resto parking lot,tagaytay. di ba they're promoting for zero crime there? just stopped by to eat and yon pagbalik nya cut na yong salamin ng barely 3months old nyang vios kasi he left at the car his laptop. di kaya makonsensya un gumawa non at biglang magbago kasi laman non puro talks and teachings bout d Lord, praise and worship songs and mass songs. sana nga kung me natitira pang konsensya yong mga taong ganon. kaya don't leave any valuable things inside your car kasi 3rd incident na daw yon don so, pwedeng involved ang guard???!!!

Am a newbie here. I got my avanza 1.5 G last December 7 lang. I've been reading this forum though since November pa. It actually helped me decide to get an avanza. Thanks for all your posts and now i'm a proud owner of a Silver Avanza.

nadagdagan yung scratch nang bumper ko pare.. bad trip talaga.. kumaskas ako sa concrete beam sa parking sa condo namin.. 2 hours lang kasi tulog ko.. went home 1.30am.. tapos around 4am paalis na ulit ako.. i was backing kasi yung katabi ko ang sama nang pagkapark.. kaya di ako maka kaliwa.. ewan ko kung ano nangyari.. basta sumayad na lang.. baka sobrang antok.. nadale yung left side nung bumper.. tapos may konting dent don sa may pinagkakabitan nang ilaw sa left quarter panel.. buti nga di nabasag ilaw.. para akong binuhusan nang malamig na tubig!

dinala ko sa Toyota sa C5.. 17T ang estimate.. baklas daw bumper.. tapos aayusin yung dent sa left quarter panel.. ipasok ko daw sa insurance.. hassle nga.. iniisip ko pa kung papasok ko pa.. wala kasi akong time.. pag na approved daw.. babayaran ko participation.. tapos mga 2 to 3 days sa kanila.. kaso kailangan ko yung sasakyan, uwi kaming batangas eh.. so tumawag ako ulit don nung monday.. sabi ko.. baka pwede pa retouch ko lang muna yung gasgas.. para hindi naman kita.. tapos baka sa january ko na mapaayos..

Ok sa akin ang Jan 5, Jan 12 may invitation ako sa kasal ng lunch pero pwede akong di pumunta.

Eto yung ni-note kong dates ng members na galing abroad:

Akal - arrival Dec 28, Bagiuo Jan 4-6, leaving Jan 13
Burjegol - arrival Dec 22, leaving (?)
Marfin - leaving Jan 18

Kung 12, baka naman di na pwede si Akal.
May isa pang weekend pero Dec 29 & 30. Baka gusto nyo itong i-consider?

Di ako nakakuha ng booking sa 22 December kaya ETA ko Manila is 27 December, ETD Manila 16 January. Kaya pwede ako 12 january but not 5th kasi nasa Iloilo pa ako niyan.

Grabe naman nangyari sa bumper mo pre...tapos ang mahal pa ng singil sau sa TOYOTA. May alam ako dyan sa ortigas P3,500 lang ang singil nila pintura buong bumper (AUTOVILLE yata - katabi ng AUTOCAMP), guaranteed nila na parehong-pareho ng kulay kasi kukunin ang serial number ng sasakyan mo tapos dun nila titingnan sa computer nila ang eksaktong timpla ng paint. Then yung dent mo, dun mo na din lang paayos sa AUTOCAMP (magkatabi lang yun), look for ROVIC (0919-3415065) or RICHARD (0928-6891853) they do Paintless Dent Removal (PDR). Nung nabangga yung hood ko last week ago, sa kanila ko pinatira, nung natapos nila, parang walang nangyari, yung nga lang may kaunting crack yung bumper ko sa likod, pero di naman gaanong halata. di ko pa rin napapa-ayos...

Pagod din siya ang medyo puyat. nagyari iyon ng mga past 1:00 PM kahapon. Akala nya ay na clear na nya ang mga bakal na nakausli bilang protection ng mga poste sa parking. Di pala. Mahaba ang gasgas sa left side, mula bumper -> fender -> rear door. Mukang iyon fender lang ang nayupi. May paint transfer din.

Nakahingi ako ng rubbing compound kanina pero di ko na na ru-rub. Mayamaya ko gagawain. Sana iyong fender lang ay may damage.

Just had my 10,000 PMS at Roxas Blvd. 6.1K inabot (12%VAT and Priv Card Discount of 212 included). Lessons Learned:

1. (Bad side) I arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled 7am appointment. Before 7am tapos na ako sa SA. Had my Bfast. Went back to see my baby around 7.30am, wala pa mechanic/technician. 7.45am nag start ang trabaho. Done in less than an hour. Tumagal sa Billing section Almost an Hour too (grabeh). I am not in hurry though.

2. (Good side) Kasama ko ung technician all throughout. I saw everything. Asked a lot of question. Very Accommodating. The technician advised me that everytime we change oil, we SHOULD have the oil drain plug gasket replaced, kasi aluminum daw ang casing not the cast iron type. Nag lo loose thread daw kasi. I am not very sure of the explanation but for only 21pesos, who cares. Nakakalimutan daw palagi ng SA un.

3. (ANother Good side). 3 liters lang talaga. Nasa akin ang 1 liter. Ung spark plug (old) nasa akin din. Nasilip ko ang ilalim to check the bolt, rust proofing and everything. Ako mismo gumalaw sa mga nuts and bolt. Mag wheels din pala ang spare rim ko (hehehe, ngayon ko lang nakita)

4. Privilege Card? First time kong ginamit. I was surprised that it only cover the labor and spare parts? Oil, Distilled water, and other materials are not covered. That comprises the big chunk of the expenditure. I was told that if I will buy the Oil, Distilled water, WIndshield Washer and other materials from their counter (OTC), the 10% discount will hold. I dont know if the explanation or the scheme make sense. Hope somebody from toyota (and a member of this forum) who reads this can explain better. TIA

5. The quotation I got before the appointment was 4.5K. when I reported, it was explained that it is going to be a 5.4K. Noong maatapos naging 6.1K na!
Distilled water lang naman naidagdag sa instruction.... Grabeh....I felt shortchanged and deceived. Malaki ang difference sa ibang toyota. The only consolation was, I saw everything the technician did to my car....

Ka rcastro- ok ung logo (i like it). Pwede nga gawing design sa T-shirt. Curious lang me about the design. while i know the explanation about the choice of colors, ano ung mga circular graphix? parang coil spring? does that mean that we have a very good coil spring sa avanza natin? Curious lang. Perhaps you can share why you chose that graphix.

To all new comers- welcome dito sa forum. All in all 39 na tayo na avanza club members. Sana ung ibang nagpaparticipate mag join na rin.

To all car with tvss, Sabi ng toyota they will have to de-activate the original anti-theft devise kung mag papalit with a better alarm system. But it is not encouraged. Accordingly, dati daw may alarm din ang toyota. However, maraming nagcomplain about the sensitivity hence, the TVSS. Magpapalit na lang me after the 3-year warranty period. I am sorry sa mga victims ng theft. Naisip ko tuloy iwanan na lang na bukas palagi ang van. hehehe.... Anyway, hindi naman nila mananakaw ang buong car. (in that way wala ng babasagin na window)

Sa mga May bagong Baby, Congratz. Ano kaya eh Magkaroon kayo mg JOint Baptism of your babies. Tapos EB na rin tayo. We can make it Grand EB this time? Doon na rin ang announcement ng results re: Board of Directors.
