Odometer tampered! HELP!

errr.. did you buy the car by mail-order? with all due respect, you should have inspected it first.

-some freshly installed belt systems might need some bedding-in; it is normal to have it re-adjusted after a few km. but i believe the altis is a serpentine belt... the squeal might not be the belt. it might be an idler bearing.
-the power window can be repaired. 2K siguro, by personal experience. hindi na ako nag-haggle, e.
-fix or change the trunk cable.
-have the thermostat and fan restored to factory spec. it's not that expensive.

all in all, all those above will probably cost considerably less than the lawyer's acceptance fee.

Okay naman po ung sasakyan. Yung feeling lang po talaga na naloko ka. Tyaka medyo conservative po kase ako sa mileage eh. Feeling ko po kase mas marami ng ipapaayos kapag mas mataas na ung mileage.

Ininspect naman po namen. Ung sa belt po sir nung chineck namen okay naman siya. Noticable lang po ung sound kapag po sstart mo for the first time lets say within the day ung kotse. First few minutes lang po tapos kapag nakaandar kana mawawala din. Tapos if pinark mo man sa mall tapos binalikan mo at inistart, wala ung sound. Pero if matagal ng di nagrun ung makina tapos binuksan mo ulet, maririnig mo po ung squeal. Di namen nakita agad un nung chineck namen ung kotse kase ginamit po nila nun e, so nag run na ung makina. Sana may sense sinabi ko sa inyo.

i drive a 2003 altis, it had 95K on the odo when i started driving her. "it's more robust than one might imagine."

sabi nga ng SA ko, "kung ayaw mong ma-loko, bili ka ng brand new."

barring catastrophic catastrophy, all these can be easily repaired.
prepare 15K. may pang-kfc na yan.

i was about to suggest an excursion to banawe, QC. but i see you are from out of town...
nevertheless, drive out of the house by sun-up and go to banawe in QC, with moolah. i am confident, hindi a-abutin yan ng 1/2 day. when i brought my altis there, i was pleasantly surprised at the plentiful of knowledgeable mechanics, and availability and cheap cost of parts. choose a shop with its own parking space.
but BE WARNED. there are many glib salesmen there. be sure you do only what you set out to do.

Sir, maraming salamat po. Kahit sobrang naiinis at nalulungkot ako sa nangyari medyo gumagaan pakiramdam ko dahil sa mga comment at tulong/suggestions niyo. Sobrang thank you! ngaun po pinagiisipan ko mabuti kung anong magandang gawin if ibebenta ko ba siya or hindi. I don't mind losing 10-15k nung price na binayad ko, basta makuha ko lang siguro ung most ng naipon ko. Pinaghirapan ko po kase un. 25 years old lang po ako and baguhan lang sa kotse, pangarap ko lang talaga magkakotse kaya bumili ako.

About po sa squeal na naririnig ko, iniisip ko rin po pano ko maipapagawa un. Hindi ko po kase marereplicate ung issue kapag dinala ko sa shop kase umandar na ung makina pag dating ko dun e, kapag inistart dun wala ng maririnig na sound. Not unless iwan ko muna dun for few hours siguro tapos start ko ulet.

About sa power window and cable sa likod, di ko po masyadong pansin un.

Yung fan po, di po ba pwedeng pabayaan nalang siyang ganyan? Or mas advisable po talaga na naka connect sa thermostat?

Haha! Tama po kayo. Sure walang problema kung brand new pero ako rin po wala pa sa point na makakabili ako nun. Sabi nga po nung isang ka-tsikot dito, wala nakong magagawa kundi i-suck it up.

the fan might fail sooner, because it is not given a chance to "rest", so to speak. hey! it's not that expensive!

Sana po masarap tulog niyo araw-araw. Isipin niyo nalang po nakatulong kayo ng isang tao ng tumayo after nadapa kahit ayaw na nyang tumayo. Haha.
