I think it's ridiculous to spend so much time and money for a tampered odometer. If there aren't major issues on the car then it's better to just suck it up.

Pero since nabili ko ng mura, at yun lang naman pinagdududahan ko, I just let it go na lang. Other than that, I think I got my money's worth naman. To the TS, when you match the indicated mileage with the car's condition... could you say that it looks the part naman?

Tapos scratches here and there.

1. are you complaining because the odometer was tampered, or because the car doesn't run well? ***
2. if second owner says he did not know the odo was tampered when he bought it from the first owner, i do not think you have a case against him.
3. consider the lawyer's fees and the cost of purchase of the car. are you willing to spend more for the lawyer? perhaps it is better that your proposed lawyer's fees be kept in the ba-ul, for car repair expenses later. knowing how expensive lawyers' fees are, you'll probably be ahead this way.
***when i composed this, i hadn't yet read TS's reply above.Last edited by dr. d; July 1st, 2017 at 06:36 PM.
