Cge, I'll replaced na my fuel filter. What are the steps of changing a fuel filter? ung fuel filter lang ba ang pinapalitan or meron kasama mga rubber gasket, washers, etc. and may valve or fuel pump (disabled) ba na sinasara dito while replacing the fuel filter? TIA.

I suggest have it done sa casa para makita mo how they do it. They will usually remove flexible hose connection, remove wiring harness connection, then disassemble the whole fuel filter assembly. Unscrew top portion of filter housing then remove filter element. Change with new element (I don't recall seeing any gasket or o-ring, hence my suggestion to have it done initially sa casa before DIY), reassemble then reconnect hoses, wiring harness. Open drain then use priming pump to remove some air in the assembly. Close drain then continue priming the fuel system before starting engine.

okay, thanks bro. the whole process of changing fuel will take approximately 30mins? how much kaya charge ng casa for the new fuel filter and labor cost?

Yes, sandali lang nila gawin. The filter element costs under Php500. Actually, during the regular PMS I think it will not cost you extra on labor. Kasama na yata sa regular labor cost nila for the PM.

So, I was thinking na hindi siya tulad ng oil filter na you got to change it regularly. Anyway, I will just inquire it na lang sa casa.
