1000% agree to this. all cars whatever make and model, gas, diesel, lpg, hybrid, they need to be maintained ....

if ayaw ninyo ipagawa sa casa for whatever reason. then buklatin ang owner manual nandun malinaw nakalagay maintenance schedule at sundan ninyo po ...

been maintaining my innova sa casa mainly to avoid issues with voiding warranty but since its almost 3 years old, the warranty will expire already so I plan to DIY many of the common jobs like oil/filter/fluid changes. where do you suggest buying parts (filters for example) and should I stick with toyota branded or do you recommend other brands? TIA

sorry naligaw, kala ko nasa innova thread ako

2.5 d4d engine needs 6.9L oil on a toyota standard size oil filter. but around 6.7 is enough.

it's a known issue. palitan mo lang ng screw type na clamp para di na mag leak.

    Sirs,

This can be removed by some Toyota casa and can be done DIY...

Just to share, here are the steps:
    1. Remove / disconnect warning switch connector of fuel filter.
    2. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position - never start.
    3. After turning the ignition switch ON, connect the warning switch connector within 3 to 60 seconds.
    4. Check that the combination meters filter warning lamp turns off.
    5. In case the "Filter Lamp" does not turn off, try to remove first Negative terminal of battery for at least 1 minute and return, then perform items 1 - 4...

Hope this helps .... Tried and tested on our Fortuner and Innova...HTH

Buy your parts from casa especially if it is something that is very important like fuel filter or something that you seldom change.

i celebrated the end of my innova's 3 year warranty, by having its oil change in the neighborhood gas station, hecho derecho. i use whatever is in their shelves.
i've been doing this for 7 years now. and the vehicle still runs good.

I think that the current Innova has reached the peak of its maturity and most, if not all of the kinks that were discovered in the last 9 years have been corrected.

I also considered waiting for the new 2016 model but decided against it. Usually, there's almost always some problems associated with the first "all-new" models. Couple that with a higher price tag of the upcoming model, I decided to get the current 2.5D A/T Innova G... and just look the other way when the 2016 model comes out. :D
