Saw a black Fortuner with plate ZPP xxx this morning. At 30 kph, it was spewing thick black smoke worse than the jeepney that was running beside it.

The secret of cars longetivity is following scheduled maintenance. Have two fortuner 2.5 2008 and 3.0 2013 but never had any problem for the first with mileage of 100K and that's the reason to buy a second one. Also any early sign of problem like emitting black smoke must be attended earlier. You can see only few old SUV of this type with that black smoke but I think those owner is saving for maintenance.

I have a friend with a 6 year old V Fort. It has 160K on the odo. But he is in Thailand. He has no problem whatsoever and has already brought the car to Australia. He does the basic maintenance himself and regularly changes the oil at 5K. I consider him an engine expert and he only follows standard maintenance practice.

1000% agree to this. all cars whatever make and model, gas, diesel, lpg, hybrid, they need to be maintained ....

if ayaw ninyo ipagawa sa casa for whatever reason. then buklatin ang owner manual nandun malinaw nakalagay maintenance schedule at sundan ninyo po ...

It cost me mga 12,500 per injector tapos labor nasa 33k all in all...

Mga sir, is the 2015 innova still a good buy? Has the d4d engine been perfected at this stage? coz i believe the new model with new engine will be launched by 1st qrtr next year. Thanks

I think that the current Innova has reached the peak of its maturity and most, if not all of the kinks that were discovered in the last 9 years have been corrected.

I also considered waiting for the new 2016 model but decided against it. Usually, there's almost always some problems associated with the first "all-new" models. Couple that with a higher price tag of the upcoming model, I decided to get the current 2.5D A/T Innova G... and just look the other way when the 2016 model comes out. :D

yes, it is still a good product.
but waiting for the new model is a gamble.. sometimes, the outgoing model is prefered by some users over the incoming model..
isa lang naman ang pintas ko sa current innova... the wider turning circle.. our neighborhood has narrow streets..
