ex-TAXI, how to know

better to test drive it....

i have this relative of mine who used to drive a taxi, but now he converted it to private car. yung "for hire" pa siya (or taxi pa siya), nagsisimula yung plaka nya sa PW*-**8, pero nung naging private na lang siya, sa letter TT*-**8 na nagsisimula ang plate niya (meaning ito yung original plate number)

thanks for sharing your thoughts, tama nga na kahit modelo yung car tapos mura pa ay siguradong magiging sakit ng ulo sya in the future pag ginamit na taxi so i'll stay away from them.

I just want to make sure kasi na yung makukuha kong either XE or GLi ay hindi naging taxi in it's past life

, so there is NO way for an ex-taxi to have a non-traceable Private Plate right? no?

Makinang 4AFE, yes, mas mura nga actually ang 4AFE kaysa 2E sa surplusan.

H plate is usually the best way to determine if a vehicle was an ex-for hire. Not necessarily an ex-taxi, hotel shuttles aren't really that abused much, and probably even cared for better than privately owned cars (kasi hotel guests ang sakay) and could even be mid luxury cars yet when sold and registered privately will have an H designation also sa plaka.

check m lang plate .. dpat may "H" yan sa likod , pero pag colorrum yan goodluck na lang

sir, as i observed same ang markings ng plate number sa likod at harap.

but ive notice parang may symbol na maliit na dalawa sa left side parang hindi ko lang mabasa.

chief yung plate sa likod mukhang may "H" sa left side. Either way kung hindi man ginamit as taxi baka shuttle service plying certain routes. IMO, It's best to ask the owner before even buying it!
