FYI, EGR blanking reduces particulate matter but increases NOx emissions. The first pollutant you can see, the second you cannot.
Choose your poison na lang.

Question guys, do Hyundai CRDi VGT engines need this EGR blanking too? I've heard that EGR cleaning every 20T kilometers is enough... but I am curious if anyone actually had their EGRs blanked on their VGT CRDi engines.

biggest cause of turbo failure is bad oil or blocked oilways, oil starvation will kill a turbo.
egr is exhaust gas recirculation nothing to do with how the turbo works.

Benefits of blocking EGR:
1. Cleaner engine oil helping to give longer engine life.
2. Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs
3. Prevents soot build up in intake manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power
4. give a smoother drive, and quit often better fuel economy

Yung innova ko naka blanked din pero di ko inalis yung tubo. Inipitan ko lang ng stainless plate sa mag kabilang dulo.. Under warranty pa kasi kapag nakita ng casa yan na walang tube.. Void agad yan.

Bale hindi na exhaust gas yung papasok sa intake manifold, wala po bang epekto ito in the long run? Kumbaga iba na yung temp ng gas na pumapasok sa intake manifold? Tama po ba?

Yup, no more exhaust gas will enter the intake manifold kaya cleaner engine internals at longer life for the engine oil.

As mentioned, tataas ang NOx emission. yun lang negative effect nya sa environment. But maliit lang naman effect imho. Sabihin na lang na cleaner emission, some fuel savings and longer use of your cars engine may be compensating for the NOx level increase. Hehe, but that just me.

Super nipis sya sir. Pero stainless sya. Kaya tumatagal sa heat.. Hindi nabubutas. Ka hulma ng tube, nakaipit lang sa mag kabilang dulo May mod pero mukang hindi nagalaw.
