Which is better 2011 Innova D4D A/T or Manual Tranny

performance wise, say going up kennon road or marcos hway up to baguio, which would perform better? the innova d4d with A/T or M/T tranny? kunwari maghabolan yung dalawa, hehehe

Iiwanan ng MT ang AT sa zigzag na akyatan. But sa hi-way na pa-akyat, maiiwan ang MT. Pero if you want race, wag naman sa kennon or marco hi-way up to Baguio. Konting mali lang, sa bangin ka pupulutin.

Sa hi-way na akyatin iwan pa rin AT sa MT. Basta akyatin.

Something to do with the gear ratio with repect to the torque that I read in the other thread kaya mas malakas ung hatak ng AT sa MT ng D4-D.

haha, hindi parin conclusive ano... AT has higher torque (as per specs) pero maiiwan parin ng MT sa akyatin (atleast according kay sir Ry_Tower)

As per specs kasi pero actually malaki ang loss sa power ng tranny sa AT vs an MT. A manual transmission has 2 gear shafts and 1 clutch. An automatic on the other hand uses bands or gears, multiple clutches, torque converter, pump, etc. All this means is that if you put the same displacment engine in front of an auto and a manual, the manual will make more power at the wheels, and given the same RPM's will use less fuel.

But choosing an AT vs an MT is about needs and wants. SO it is subjective.

sa actual performance parehas na parehas lang ang AT and MT in terms of accelaration and sustained speed. kayang kaya nila both lahat ng akyatan dito sa pilipinas. so it all boils down to preference lang.

kung balak niyo mag race gamit ang innova then get an MT

Acceleration lamang pa rin MT, sustained speed after 4th gear sa AT pareho na yan. Kung maraming akyatan at twisty road, better ang MT hands down. Kung mas maraming time na hindi ka naka-stuck sa traffic jam, mas ok talaga MT.

IMHO :sweat:
matulin kasi sa duluhan ang mga A/T . mas malalakas ang torque. peru mas malakas ang pwersa at arangkada ng M/T
kasi control mo ang bawat galaw ng sasakyan mo. tsaka sa M/T kasi mauubos mo yung speed ng kambyo. unlike sa A/T piga ka lang ng PIGA. bawas palit kambyo

Mag M/T ka na lang kung sa probinsya ka
ganyan din pala isipan sakin nun. peru natuloy ako sa M/T kasi bihira lang naman traffic sa probinsiya

-- peru mas masarap kasi ang A/T relax ka lang sa pag drive ;)

Ang ayaw ko lang sa AT ay di mo ma control 1st and 2nd gear sa traffic, sometimes gusto ko 2nd gear lang sya pero nag 1st gear talaga. kasi malakas kumain ng gas ang 1st gear . Unlike sa MT kontrolado mo every galaw. Pero 100% relax ka sa pag drive sa AT.

Tipid din sa FC ang AT compare sa MT sa Highway...
