If the Rush uses the same engine as the Avanza's then I fear it may just turn out to be under powered as well.

Or baka praning lang ako haha
Yep, the same engine as the Avanza, Vios, and Yaris. It will be fine for the usual commuter trips like the other 3 vehicles. Don't expect too much sporty performance out of it.

"underpowered" is a relative term parang sa pilipinas matangkad ka, pagdating mo netherlands pandak ka na

as for rush expect it to be sluggish but it'll get you there but sometimes you'll have to resort to low gears and/or high-RPM to do it

thinner body metal? thinner seats? thinner plastics?
They're pretty thin and par for the course as it is so I don't imagine they can shave off a meaningful amount from those anymore. At most just a few kilograms for the entire car since we are dealing with sheets here.

narrow-er body? according to the specs above, it's 2 inches narrower. heh heh.
Pwede. Since the width adds weight to the entire length of the vehicle as opposed to length which impacts only the tapered and hollowed-out ends.

    Saw one on the road.

Ang kitid pala nito. Hindi ba sikip ang 3 sa gitna?

I compared the second row of the BRV, Xpander, and Rush vs my Civic. Mas maluwag second row ng Civic so 3 in the second row of the MPVs will be a bit of a squeeze but kasya naman.

Think of it as similar to the second row of a roomy subcompact like a City or Ciaz.

Looking at it from the outside, i think avanza has more elbow room.

Tried both side by side, mas maluwag ang Rush sa Avanza in all dimensions.
