napansin ninyo kung nag high beam kayo, meron pang isang pitik from high beam? bali 2x sya?
sir, tanong ko lang sana, saang company or bank kaya magandang kumuha ng insurance? pang low budget lang mga sir.
Recently got a Vios 1.3E AT. After 1 week of use, all I can say is that it deserves to be the top selling car in the Philippines.
The exterior looks very respectable even in this mid-range variant. Having the same rims as the G and no black-colored trim makes it rather classy. Wish it also had the chrome rear garnish of the G for a bit more contrast, but I'm nitpicking. It's definitely more exciting than the one it replaced, and also looks better than most other subcompacts. The added length makes the car look very well-proportioned (unlike the City's stumpy rear). However, the car is still pretty narrow and still doesn't have the same presence as a compact sedan.
The interior is an equally huge improvement and even if the Vios is a budget car, I commend Toyota for making a very upscale interior. I'm still amused with the faux stitching. The all-black interior with a few silver bits is also minimalist but classy. The steering wheel is just lovely and so is the HU (though I wish the buttons had blue backlighting to match everything else instead of green). Speaking of the HU, iPod connectivity is great, much better than in my Ranger before. Sound is so-so but not ugly like in the old model. The gauges are pretty nice, but I wish they didn't strip off the MID from the G variant, and there's a lot of space for a temperature needle instead of just an indicator.
One thing I didn't like about the interior though is the lack of storage space. The old one had 2 small storage bins on each side of the center console that was perfect for my wallet, powerbank, and 2 phones. Now, there's only space for my wallet, then one phone beside the handbrake.
For rear passengers, legroom is more than adequate and puts last-gen compacts to shame. Shoulder room is still so-so though, but fitting 3 in the back isn't all that bad.
In terms of performance, the tried-and-tested 2NZ-FE is just adequate. The AT, though smooth, makes it much more sluggish than the MT. That said, those who don't overtake a lot or drive past 120 kph frequently won't feel the 85 hp to be lacking.
Ride comfort is also top-notch for a subcompact. It doesn't lose composure when going over potholes unlike the model it replaced or the GM City. Even at 150 kph on the highway, the ride is stable and feels a lot like an Altis. Steering is on the light side but this is great for city driving and it's what most buyers want anyway. I haven't flogged the car on a mountain road, but if it's anything like the Vios Cup Car I've driven, then I'd say it's predictable at its limits.
The only major pitfall that this car has is its fuel consumption. Based on my last full tank, I only got 6.4 km/L in city driving with moderate to heavy traffic. That's as bad as our old 2-liter Altis, but without the power to make it worth it. I hope it gets better as I get used to driving a small-engined car, but I don't see it improving significantly.
Still, overall, this is a great package for under 800k. I don't think any other car will be claiming the #1 spot anytime soon. 👍

Talaga? Isang pitik lang pala sa vios. Btw, Yaris 2014 sakin kala ko pareho din sa Vios yung sa high beam.
when i switched from fuel save to nitro+, nag improve ako. once ko palang ginamit sa nlex, from manila to tarlac * 120-140 km/h... that's approx 200km balikan.. now, nasa 700 pa din odo ko since weekend ko lang naman talaga sya nagagamit since i got the unit in october..
tama kaya tong pag measure ko ng FC. full tank ako (xcs din gamit ko) kahapon, then uwi ako, park ang car overnight sa house. then hatid ko si wife ngayon then full tank ulit, naka 34.4 kms din ako in 3.78 liters so 9.10 kms./liter lang ang FC ko?! tingin ko mataas tong FC na to, di naman kasi ako na traffic kasi slex ako goin SM sta rosa via mamplasan. btw, may odo is at 412 kms pa lang...
try ko yung fuel save next time
May naririnig na naman ako pinging sound. Medyo inclined kaunti yung road at pati doon sa flat din. Narinig ko lang nung nag shift sa 2nd gear na. Ano kaya to?
Dati kasi laging nasa 15kms every trip pag weekdays.
If you're doing short distance fuel economy testing, don't park the car overnight. Fuel settles in the tank overnight, causing the fuel level to change.

If you're doing it over multiple days, do at least half a tank, and get the average of several half-tanks.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
