Mga sir, sharing below pictures of what happened to my Vios yesterday..I was lucky to escape great injury.. na head on ako ng armored van sa isang maliit na daan dito sa Cavite. Ayon sa driver, iniwasan nya daw ang naka bike sa unahan nya and lost control of the vehicle kaya sya nag swerve ng twice or thrice pagkatpos tumama sya sa akin na magkasalubong kami.. sa pagkakatanda ko, nakita ko mabilis na sya kaya ako nag menor at huminto kaya pag kabig nya ng manibela pabalik dun nag swerve ang sasakyan nya kaya inabot pa din ako..

Anyway, gusto ko lang po sana humingi ng professional opinion sa mga members na experienced na dito at sa ganitong mga kaso kung sa tingin nyo ba ay considered total wreck ang oto ko? or kung safe pa ba sya ipa repair or restore? Ano po suggestions nyo that I should take note of? Sa ngayon ang usapan ay ang company ng naka bangga sa akin (self insured company) ang mag papa ayos sa chosen casa ko. Sila ang mag ne negotiate ng presyo at mag se settle lahat ng expenses related to the restoration of the vehicle.. na inform ko na ang insurance company ko about this and they said its not an issue kung hindi ko ipapasok sa kanila but instead dun sa other party ko ipapasagot in full although they assured me na in case takbuhan ako or hindi tuparin ng other party ang napag usapan, they can still cover the repairs later on. Ma swerte nalang din ako at bukod sa buhay pa ako ay magandang kumpanya ang nka abala sa akin meaning may kakayanan sila to cover the expenses at maayos sila kausap sa ngayon. Hingi lang sana ako sa inyo ng additional tips to look out for at mga dapat ko pa gawin (bukod sa police report, picture, etc). I am also worried kung safew pa nga dn ba to restore / repair this kind of damage considering the pumutok na din ang airbags nya. As per pinsan ko kase sa US, basta daw dun pag pumutok airbag considered total wreck na.. not sure dito po sa atin. Any HELPFUL and INFORMATIVE comments and suggestions will be much appreciated.

Sir sorry.. do you mean I can file total lost claim from the looks of this damage? Hindi din pa kase na evaluate ito ng adjuster ng insurance nor ng Casa kase bukas pa dadalhin. Does the file for total lost claim or change of vehicle my call or depende sa result ng evaluation po? THank you

Ang nasabi sa akin sir ng insurance ko, considered total loss sya if the repair value is more than 50% of the car value.. do you mean I can claim against the company for them to replace it with a new car instead? Sa ngayon po, ang nasaad din kse sa agreement namin during sa police station is to have it repaired / restored back to its original condition.. do you think its too late for me to change that to what you are suggesting? THank you..

Have the damage assesed sa casa sir. Yup tama nga po if more than 50% of the car value...total wreck na po sya. Actually sir di lang yun car ang dapat mong singilin jan like yun abala na naidulot sayo. Hospital charges? Actually meron clause si insurance jan. You could insist naman po to replace the car with a new one since bago pa din naman yun sasakyan nyo. Otherwise consult a lawyer and file a criminal charge nga since buhay mo na yun nakasalalay jan.

1 month pa daw bago dumating ung OR/CR ko.. kaya medyo nagworry din ako kc wala man lng ako LTO waiver. yung sister ko, kumuha ng Wigo sa Pasig. May LTO waiver na binigay.

Oo nga Sir. Yung abala na dulot nito sobra dahil me and my wife use the car for our daily commute to office. Ang mali ko lang hindi ko na ilagay sa Agreement namin na i will charge those to them although I'm trying to consult a lawyer kung pwede pa. Sa awa ng Diyos wala naman na ospital din. I think I will have to wait nga for the evaluation ni Casa if this is considered wreck or not although iniisip ko din nga ung hassle and safety of having a repaired car instead..
