many folks do it all the time... lalona yung walang power locks.
also, you might try using your key to manually lock the door.

personally, i do not see the problem.
Thanks. It’s just so basic and nakakahiya medjo na pa-ulit2 akong ng lock tapos always unlock..haha

From the outside. I don’t know whats the exact steps kasi hindi naman all the time nangyayari pero usually pagpark ko, unlock ko ang door using the unlock button above the power window, then paglabas, close ko ang pinto tapos lock ko gamit yung susi. Kahit na may lock mechanical sound, unlock parin. Yung solution ko nalang is buksan ang pinto, lock ko gamit yung key, then cose while pulling the door handle - the classic lock way.

In my experience with Toyota cars, that's weird. The sequence for manual locking should be:
    1. unlock the door to get out of the car
    2. open the door and get out of the car
    3. shut the door
    4. lock the door manually with the key.
    5. just to be sure, pull the door handle. if the door doesn't open, then it is locked.
Simple. If this doesn't work, its either the door is not completely shut, or there is something wrong with the lock. Complain about it when you take it in for the 1k PMS.

Without using the key, na-try mo na rin ba gamitin yung "lock" button (beside power window lock) habang nasa labas ka na, bago mo isara yung pinto?

Mukhang tama naman yung ginagawa mo. Lock button malapit sa inside door handle, tapos pull mo outside door handle while closing. Ganun din sa owner's manual e. Ako kasi keys na lang para sure din na hindi ko maiwan sa loob. Anyway, pwede naman pa-upgrade na lang sa keyless entry later

Parang na gets ko na boss. Might need more confirmatory test. Na notice ko lang na even if the door is locked, pwede pala ma open ni driver from the inside.

Yup. From inside pwede mo pa rin mabuksan sa driver side kahit naka lock. Feature yata ito, hindi bug hehe

Parang feature nga. I checked this earlier and from lock -> unlocked position yung switch if na open mo from the inside.

I did. Walang lock. What happened is I wanted to check the engine braking sa downhill so I switched from D -> M1 then pagdating ko sa baba, I switched up all the way to reverse instead of right. When I stepped on the gas, na-off ang engine.

That should give you a realistic city drive fuel economy of 8km/li.

They are using the same engine, tranny and practically same body since 2016

Yout gate shifters look like this. So from M+, to reverse, you need to do the following:

    Go to D
Move the shifter up to neutral,
Move the shifter left then move to shifter up to reverse.

All these while stepping on the brake. Mahirap na accident ito imho....

After I reached the flat, the car was at crawl speed. Then I mindlessly set the tranny to R. No brakes were pressed. But in theory, if this happened only once, may damage ba sa tranny?

Sometimes, speed humps auto changes my tranny from D to N. Happened twice already.
