222k isn't a small amount especially for Wigo buyers who are usually on a tight budget. That's already 40% of the Wigo's SRP.

Even the Vios J, which is a manual (dealbreaker for most new drivers), is over 70k more expensive, and has none of the creature features that usually entice first-time car buyers. It's bigger, yes, but it's the bells and whistles that usually draw people in.
Indeed, and that's the problem. People need to be informed of critical infos like safety (crumple zones, crash rating, ABS, etc). and fancy things they can usually do without should be secondary.

Since she's got the cash (it seems), 70k in installments is nothing (dad is an OFW). It seems she's ok with MT since she's been looking at Wigo 1.0MT so Vios MT should be ok. 1.5L vioses are insanely priced though. I'd rather get the bigger Altis at that point. She doesn't like the vios though (Maybe because of the taxi effect which actually is a plus).

I would always recommend what car your heart desires. At the end of the day, what makes you the happiest/most content is the best buy for you.

On the issue of safety though, both the Vios and Wigo got 4-star ASEAN NCAP ratings. Smaller does not always mean less safe.

Mga Kaibigan, I would like to seek for your advice. Is there a way that I can play movies while driving? With the way it is now, I can only if my handbreak is in use.

It was installed with safety in mind. The driver(you), is supposed to concentrate on driving. Distractions while your driving is similar to playing Russian roulette only this time, you're not using a revolver. You can however, by installing an ON/OFF switch in series with the parking brake reminder switch

The Wigo is average. Based on what I remember reading here in tsikot, Excellent fuel consumption goes to the Suzuki Alto and the Mitsubishi Mirage.

Bro magkakaiba since nagiiba sila ng promo from time to time depending on the tolerance of a dealer to give discounts and their sales target for the month.

My recommendation is to visit every dealer near your place, get a quotation of their best offer, then ask the other dealer if they can give you a better offer. Continue doing this until masagad mo silang lahat. Yes this is tedious and time consuming, but it could be well worth it. Bonus na rin kung hottie yung sales agent na makakausap mo.
