This is the new G variant stripped down version. Proof: manual trans and cloth upholstery.
Aside from the innocuous absence of the headlight washer, its really not that noticeably stripped down compared to before. While the Montero GLX is noticeably stripped down from a GLS. Externally, this Fortuner hardly looks different compared to the V variants.
PS: I don't know when did Toyota started phasing in the black dashboard, but the former gray color dash compliments the beige tones better. Too many black and dark tones are bringing in sharp contrasts in the interior.

beg pardon, but.... why are you asking us? isn't that something you can determine yourself? some folks even say it's more fun that way...
heh heh.
you must forgive me... i've been driving for over 2 decades, and i do not recall when i was ever interested in finding out what is the maximum speed my car can do..

SRP of the entry level Fortuner Php1,290,000 M/T Less 10K discount only.
Never have you tried to find out what your car can do or never have you asked to find out?
Agree.
We test drove a 2.7G variant back in july before getting a fozzie and sabi nga ng agent they improved the suspension in the back na daw though nung tinanong ko what specifically pinalitan, she'll get back at me daw tapos nalimutan na. Haha. Was able to drive an 09 with 20s matagtag nga. Nakadagdag yun for sure but cant compare with bnew since around 4th level ng toyota Q. Ave ko lang sya na drive.

Ot question: puro drum brakes sa rear nakikita ko sa fort and monty. Sa monty konti palang nakikita ko 4 disc brake,sa fort wala pa ata. Does it have something to do with the variant or you have to upgrade talaga?
Why drum? Cheaper kasi? I dont think its because "maybe its the best for its size" (sabi ng pretty SA of TQA when i asked about the drum who clearly doesnt know anything about cars, just tall and pretty haha) cause Lc's, expi's have all disc brakes..
For me kasi those features are like emergency funds e. Even city driving most of the time and lagi traffic, you'll never know when you need it but its gooooood to have it when you do.

May i ask why sir? Sorry new here
As ive said in prev post, we recently acquired a base fozzie and i just cant justify the almost 400k diff. Ako kasi as long as almost same looks (vain)and essentials are there and little to no diff ang safety, dun na ko. Does that go for you as well?

Boss sorry to butt in, although i do not have fort, IMHO, nowadays it doesnt really matter other than style. Why, because of ebd. Kahit 3pt lang ang abs mo at since non turning naman ung rear wheel it can be properly managed by ebd. Mas malakas naman talaga ang disk brake compared sa drum in some instance but it can be compensated by ebd. Ebd afaik, distributes the force between the front (left and right at some poiny via the abs) and the rear wheel (both, normal case).
But let us wait for more expert opinion, just sharing and want to learn din sir.
