Agreed. But once you've learned how to drive on the track and have some experience, turning the aids off on the 86 opens up a whole new vista to the experience. Which is all I'm suggesting.

A car is fun as long as you love to drive. It does not have to be expensive and it does not have to be fast. Any car will do.

And on this, I wholeheartedly agree. ;)

Manual transmission? Lines up well with Speedlab's numbers... 150 whp or so for the 86 automatic.

Us 86 owners have had two track days already since getting together for the first time last month. First one was in BRC then Clark two weeks ago. So we are somewhat getting the full flavor of the experience

Haha yup ako yon sir. Pinost ko don kung pano paganahin yung LED DRL mode ng headlights and I also figured out how to wire the rear fog light using the factory pre-wiring Tye300 already posted the writeup on how to enable the RFL 86 owners post kayo on the Philippine thread under ASIA over at ft86club.com so we can add you to the facebook group so you guys can be updated on EBs, trackdays and mods

I checked out he Subaru BRZ last month and according to them they have a shipment of BRZ arriving this march.
There is a queue but they are willing to accept you order of cash payment for the BRZ and willing to accept a reservation fee of 20k i think.

base 86 MT is 1.55M
BRZ MT with leather seats 1.928
The difference is 378,000.
Even if you get the 86 through financing (because you have no option to buy it cash) and if you have the money to pay off the loan in 1-3 months do so.
The 86 should still be 200k cheaper provided you can get a BRZ at cost/straight cash. If the BRZ is (also) available only through financing, the cost difference is till 378,000.
If you want leather seats, a genuine one should cost around 50k.
Any which way the 86 is significantly cheaper for the Mt variant.
