di pa din ako naniniwala, yun group naman nun MVP nabasa ko sa dyaryo magpapagawa daw sila ng sctex extension hanggang aurora province

ah sabi ko na nga ba, these big companies are somehow trying to ride on the issue na sila mag-iinvest sa infrastructure na to good to be true.

aurora hello, wala nga gusto pinoy na pumunta dun eh kasi pacific side lagi binabagyo sa ka tsinutsunami. tapos mag-iinvest daw sila kuno in the spirit of nationality

This is for sure will take a long way before it will be implemented. Somehow San Miguel is very aggressive in acquiring infrastructure/railway projects as I read from newspapers. So far, I am looking forward on their current project (TPLUEX) which is expected to be ready after 2 years. Its enough for the meantime to accelerate northern economic potential. With the addition of the bullet train, it will further catapult the economy of that region for sure, but I don't see that within 5-10 years, this project materialize immediately. A little bit OT.

SMC is buying, SMC is selling, SMC is buying the group who bought SMC, SMC buying retirement fund, SMC selling but not the brewery...etc...etc... nahihilo ako sa mga moves ng SMC...sino ang kumikita sa KUMISYON dito?

How do they intend to power it? Siguro ayusin muna nila ung pag setup ng additional power plants/distribution lines bago sila gumawa ng ganito. Luzon barely has spare capacity, tapos pabreakdown breakdown pa ung power plants.

Ewan ko lang ha, to me the plan is as ....."optimistic" as RP putting up nuclear power plants.

And ung cost: even if they can get government subsidies to bring the ticket cost down....parang anlaking portion iaabono ng government for it. Di ba ung unsubsidized cost for an MRT ticket is something like 72 pesos? Time pa ni Erap yan ha

Then again, dreamers ae usually called nutcases up until their dreams come to fulfillment.

It's better described as an activity that involves detergent (if you know what I mean).

One day, you'll all realize what has really been going on at San Miguel. And why this bullet train project will NEVER get off the ground.

maybe sir creepy is an insider

outsiders like us can only speculate

we can see SMC has transformed greatly

they're more than a food and beverage company now

SMC owns a large stake in Meralco (bought from GSIS)

they're in telecoms (joint venture with Qatar Telecom)

    SMC controls Petron

they announce a bullet train project

whatever is going on (sir creepy won't say)... it's simply about money... wala na iba

    zero sum game

a lot of money is changing hands

someone's making a lot of money and someone's losing a lot of money
