    It's different before when we had the US bases pa! and the Estrada GOVT.and Politicians before who signed the bill to get the US Bases out is responsible for all these lapses in AFP Modernization, dapat before they kicked out the US bases nakapag upgrade na tayo muna!
    so that we won't have to worry about our country's national security. After that kita mo CHINA occupied some islands in spratly! kasi alam ng CHINA wala tayong THREAT!
    And if ever na invade tayo? just like WW2 taon pa BAGO nakabalik si Uncle Sam diba! (LET'S THINK AND DESCIDE FAST) . Im not saying this is going to happen, hope not! this is just a must for us to do! We can't rely on the US for our security as they have they're own interests as well!..

    Maybe that's also the reason why almost all SE asian countries are trying to upgrade they're Armed Forces particularly AIR DEFENCE FORCES, kasi yan ang unang ginagamit sa counter invation! to eliminate threats like nuclear weapons! Which wala tayo!!! Considering CHINA'S continious advancement in weapons technology w/ the help of RUSSIA... parehong communist country yan at unpredictable!!??

    LET'S GET THESE BABIES FOR THE MEAN TIME! ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAI_Kfir)

    "Please don't forget to watch " SKY FIGHTERS" re; Kfir fighter jets! it's a nice true to life story about the Dissault Mirage 2000,Vseries french film. it's available in ([http://www.movies-links.tv/s/sky_fighters.html) the Kfir was based on a modified Dissault Mirage V Jets used in this movie. but the Israeli made it better and more advanced and improved version that the sale was limited to foreign nations like US,ISRAEL,COLUMBIA,EQUADOR,SRI LANGKA. B] so i think it's a good deal! especially maintenance and performance wise! If SRI LANGKA can afford 8 jets and maintain it, a country much poorer than PHILIPPINES.... I don't see any reason why we can't??

    SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT?
    Kfir jets are $7M* (low maintenance) Introduced 1975
    F16= $14-18M* (high maintenance) Introduced 1978
    F18= $29M* (high maintenance) 1st flight 1978,introduced 1983

    So almost same age for less cost, but as good in performance as others! (2) Kfirs=1 F16 and (4) Kfirs= 1 F18.....hmmmm.???? Please send this to Philippine Air force and Philippine govt. http://www.movies-links.tv/movies/sky_fighters/

    For me fighter jets are long over due! considering wala tayo ni isa? kung mapansin niyo bumaba ang tingin at respeto sa atin ng ibang bansa especially mga G8 because wala tayong puersa! unlike nung panahon ni Marcos na respetado tayo kahit saan! sa masakit man tanggapin! that's a fact....

    kita niyo mga State visit sa kahit saan bansa ng kahit na sinong umupo after Marcos parang dnedeadma lang tayo ng ibang bansa lalo na yun kamukha ni ate guy??? sorry but its true!

    hmmm... I like MiG-21's better tbh, since for a "junk" plane, they have very updated avionics and can literally be armed with both NATO and CIS systems.

    and tbh, I'm not really a fan of the superbug since it's filled with compromises and quite expensive for its size. the kinematic performance is mediocre compared to the genuine 4.5++ gen planes that are commercially available at half the price with spare parts and equipment included
    Damn, son! Where'd you find this?

    I would actually prefer mud mover aircrafts like the A-10 or better yet the sukhoi frogfoot for the Philippines. They're cheaper to maintain the frontline fighter that we won't even use except for airshows.

    I also hope that for patrolling the Philippines we would purchase the S-ray. They're locally built by Dornier Technologies here in the Philippines (i think the main hangar is in clark). Iren Dornier is currently having the papers of the plane processed for EU certifications.

    I'm so proud of Iren Dornier and Nick Gitsis for investing a lot in the Philippiine tourisim and Aviation industry. Kudos to them

    ^you actually don't need the A-10 as it's already overkill since most of our insurgents don't have any armored vehicles.

    the Su-25 on the other hand is built more specifically for dropping laser guided bombs.
    Damn, son! Where'd you find this?

It features a new multimode radar, capability to use a HMD (Helmet Mounted Display) and Python IV air-to-air missiles and two 127x177mm Multi-Function Displays. Brazil looked at leasing 12 Kfir C10s to replace the Mirage IIIEBR until the arrival of the F-X program aircraft, however no deal materialized. After several delays on a decision, the F-X program was cancelled in 2005. In June 2005, Brazil announced the selection of second-hand Mirage 2000Cs as an interim solution.
