A carbon fiber hood would be nice but not necessary.

In Japan and Europe, there are diesel Jimnys. The European one is 1.3... the Japanese one is the narrower variant with a 1.0, if I recall right.

2003 model acquired last year. Maintenance is reasonable. Wala pa namang for repair. I use castrol semi synth and vic filters.

Was already taking care of another 03 Jimny before this one. Reliable also.

Added item lang naman is a liter or two of gear oil for the front axle and 4x4 transmission.

Waiting for the hyperflow snorkel shipment to arrive so i can check it out, pag ok, ill get one.

The round trip from Quezon City to Zambales is around 400kms. Granting that the Jimny is not lightning fast, it can still cruise at 100kph (at 3000rpm) on the expressways. Yes, the Jazz that it replaced was faster and had better road manners. But I'm not missing that boring car. Maybe I'll need a practical 4 door one when I have a family or something but as of now this one fits the bill nicely.

The hood is part of the front crash structure, you can modify it at your own risk I guess. But its already ok for me as it is.

Fuel economy on this trip including off-roading is 10+kms/liter.

Black Jimny si Dr. Campomanes yun. Boss ko din siya sa UST. He got the Jimny after Ondoy. Yung snorkel niya ay inimport niya from Australia. Airtec ata tatak. Medyo $$$ yun. Pero siya naman ang the boss. hehehe. He used to have Land Rover Defender too.

No airbags, no ABS for locally sold Jimnys. Though they all come from the same factory in Japan. New model? Minimal rubbing on full compression and sa fender liner lang po sa harap. Normal driving no problem. Yep, i also have a vid of the jimny in my fb account. Hehehe.

Twice lang ata nag rub because i kept trying to jump the small sand dunes. Hehe.

I need help. Looking for Coil Spacer and Shock Spacer for my Suzuki Jimny. Dont want to spend my money on OME shock and coil. Planning to lift and installing 215/70 R15 tires any suggestion. Thanks po

I'm running 215/75R15 Hankook Dynapro Mud Tires on a stock suspension. Pain in the a$$ size to find and had to be ordered from the warehouse in Cavite. A bit expensive too but its the only mud tire in that size. Other tires available look more like car tires than 4x4 tires.

Coil spacer and shock spacer can be fabricated by 199 Off Road House (google their contacts) in Tondo (near the end of Araneta Avenue/C3). Or just grab longer shocks for cheap at the Monroe Dealer in Masangkay (I just googled their contact, too). That's what we used on another Jimny. Monroe shocks are colored OME yellow, too. hehehe.

AFAIK, Pablo Azcobar of 4x4ph.com also has an Ironman Suspension kit for the Jimny. You can contact him or his Manila dealer (Dr. G's car clinic in Selecta Drive A. Bonifacio). Ironman also makes polyurethane coil spacers.

sabi nun isa anes samin almost 1000 USD daw snorkel nun jimny ni chairman. OEM suzuki daw. mahal pala . gawa naman ata ng airtec yun OEM?

Sabi ni boss sa Airtec daw yun. Made for Suzuki talaga. AFAIK, wala sa official list ng accessories ng Suzuki ang snorkel. Pero madaming accessories from Ironman, TJM (airtec), Old Man Emu, etc.

The price, hindi ko lang alam. Baka in Australian Dollars? Still mahal pa din. hehehe
