If you really into buying a Jimny I know someone in Suzuki Caloocan that can help you, if you want a test drive.

Eto advise lang, baka kasi puro advantage nakikita mo.

    Matagtag.
Matagtag sya for city use kasi offroad vehicle sya. The Jimny is not for everyone. Dapat medyo on the enthusiast-side ka to really love and want it, from what i gather. I suggest you test drive, however, wala halos test drive units mga dealers. Kung makakahanap ka ng pang test drive, i-try mo i-drive sa EDSA from QC to Pasay, para ma-experience mo talaga. Meron yata video dito sa thread para magka-idea ka gaano katagtag just by watching.

    Mahal.
I mean, siguro reasonably priced/value for money sya 5 years ago, or if you'll use it mainly for offroading(like your office is in a farm with rough road all around). But now na madami na naglabasan na mas updated na sasakayan, you'll really think twice in buying it brand new. Nasa vicinity na sya ng price ng new Honda Jazz, and some entry level subcompact cars. Unless magagamit mo regularly offroad functions nya off road, you really have to think harder.

    No safety/modern features.
    No ABS. No airbags.

    Maliit.
Kailangan ulitin, kasi pagkasikip sikip. Okay lang kung ikaw lang mag-isa or a friend or two and no baggages.

Fuel consumption not something to write/brag about compared to other 1.3 liter vehicles.

So esep esep muna ate kung ito ba talaga gusto mo. If this is not your only car, then okay lang. If not, think about how you'll use it, di pwede yong cute lang tingnan at pwede sa bukid.

Matagtag sya compare to Sedan pero let us not forget bakit mo nararamdaman yun tagtag sa kotse mo. Kasi the road condition is bad. Meaning mas madaling masisira ang pang ilalim mo like tie-rods, joints etc.

Safety: In the first place airbags are support only for seat belts it can't save you with out the seat belts but seat belts can save you with out airbags.

    Maliit at Masikip:
Dahil masikp sya at maliit favorite drive na ni Misis ito compare to my city. I don't have to make a full stop on humps and some pot holes and madaling i park. Yan ang sabi ni Misis.

Fuel consumption: I'm doing 10km/Lt., City is doing 13km/Lt., 3km diff is ok narin pwede ka naman mag lakad for the next 3km. Honda is sensitive interms of gasoline dahil sa e10 na lahat ng gasoline ngayon baka magka problema ka

For the price naman. You can compare the price of Jazz and City to Jimny mas mura parin compare to them.

Kidding aside, Hindi ko bibilin ito if my wife disagree with me to buy it. We end buying it kasi when she test drive it She want it na. It's my weekend car but daily drive ni Misis and for the kids 2nd hand Van binili namin.

I have to agree with swordsman that if this is your only car you have to think twice or even more but if most of the time ikaw lang sa kotse mas madaling abutin ang gamit mo kung masikip ang kotse mo while driving. he he he.

    Hi guys!

Sorry kung di masyado related but...

Anyone know where to get OEM Suzuki Jimny sidemirrors that's the cheapest? And how much kaya siya most likely?

    Any ideas on the price?

I've called sa Links in Banawe, 2,500 ung mga surplus... Baka mas may cheap pa dyan?

I reside sa Pasig area, so preferrably ung medyo malapit.

Mahilig kasing pag-initan yung sidemirrors namin dati, so nag-end up nagpa-tabas nalang before. The bad thing is hindi similar sa original yung magnification/reflection nung mirror, kaya ang hirap magdrive compared dun sa original na mirror...

Anyway may better parking slot na kami, so I was hoping bilihan ko na ng bagong side mirrors.

    Thanks in advance!

very well said, from a true jimny lover. actually, if a buyer can get past the obvious and not-so-obvious limitations ng jimny and look at it for what its intended purpose, and find a 'silver lining' against all its shortcomings, then he/she would really find owning this bulletproof vehicle fullfilling. as i said, this vehicle is not for everyone, so newbie buyers must understand what they're getting into and why the jimny is like that.

ayan ate hydra, pros and cons are presented. you really have to test drive, kasi most complaints na nakikita ko is matagtag sya. i personally don't mind it, but there are those new to this vehicle who are expecting a car-like ride. if after test drive, gusto mo pa rin sya, then congratulations! the rest of the shortcomings can easily be explained and rationalized, basahin mo na lang post ni larshell
