Suzuki Ertiga - 7 seater MPV

Need feedback from current Ertiga owners...

We checked out a display unit yesterday and the comments that stood out from the wife is that the interior feels "plasticky" and that the interior of the Avanza feels and looks better. She also commented on the how the A/C vents looks (sticks out from the ceiling unlike those of the Avanza na incorporated na sa ceiling). She even noticed kung bakit daw ganun ka-"crude" yung gas tank and hood levers.



Am more of the practical owner and to me the bigger space (vs sedan), better ride quality (since this uses the platform of Swift) and better fuel consumption (vs Avanza) are my primary considerations.

But, that said, how do you feel about these comments about the Ertiga's interior? And what should I tell the wife naman para ma-appease yung pagka-turn off nya?

I have a neighbor with the new avanza, and i can say na mas better parin ang ertiga sa looks even sa interior, he upgraded his unit agad, palit mags, kabit spoiler etc while ertiga is good looking na as is.nasakyan ko na rin yung lumang avanza na totl and hindi ko nagustuhan.

Anyone here knows if Ertiga's clutch is cable or fluid type?
gusto ko sana iadjust ang clutch ng unit namin, sobrang taas, nakakangalay sa paa. halos fully released na saka pa ma-reach ang biting point

but if ever na pwede i think casa should do it, on your first PMS if possible....

Haven't looked into the new avanza except on those taxi's.
1. Probably Ertiga looks "plasticky" but it's much solid plastic. Avanza's plastic feels like "ampaw." Everything on this budget cars are plasticky, it's just the way they present their own.
2. Plasticky, yes but it has much more functional and practical on those curves (maladi magsaksak ng coins and mag ipit ng kung ano ano sa mga mini holders nya).
3. Crude is subjective. Jeep Rubicons is crude, seeing their door hinges screwed on the outside door, even their tail lights. HAHAHAHA!

Sir, have a feeling that the opinion of your wife is actually your own. It's so detailed that she should be working with TopGear.

Please also consider the safety features that the avanza doesn't have. That's NOT even comparable.

Ertiga won on COTY for crossover APV. BTW! The "experts" has spoken.

Agree ako sa functionality. Ours is GA pero ok din ang (single)aircon. This is our first brand new car and so far so good. Nakasakay ako ng Avanza nung officemate ko, that was the time na in-introduce sila dito sa Pinas. Middle-High end sya thoguh hindi ko na ma compare kasi matagal na yon. Pero as for now, ok yung Ertiga at marami rin napo-pogian at ang usual na tanong sa akin eh kung Avanza daw yon, kasi parang kami pa lang ang meron dito sa community namin.

Same here, kaya minsan na-stall ang makina dahil kasi sa feel ng kotse eh hindi naririnig minsan kung nag re-rev up pa sya o wala na

Ertiga's clutch is hydraulic. Sa casa mo nalang ipa-adjust brod baka yan pa ang dahilan na ma void ang warranty mo
Careful lang muna tayo while nasa warranty pa Ertiga natin.

Thanks very the recommendation. Much appreciated.

Downpayment was 28% for the sake of availing the free insurance. Chattel Mortgage was around 12k, monthly amortization is 15k.

If I opted for 20% downpayment, chattel mortgage would have been 14k, monthly amortization of 17k.

Yes there's a plasticky feel but I will say it's pretty solid. I haven't seen the interior of the new avanza though. But I can say mas plastic ang interiors ng KIA

The overhead aircon vents were designed that way kasi hindi naman yata dual aircon talaga ang ertiga. It only helps circulate the air from the front cabin to the back. (I read this somewhere but not sure if this stands true with the current model). But this doesn't bother me at all dahil giniginaw pa rin yung mga passengers ko.

Things I didn't like with the interior:
1. Seat adjustment levers. Parang kinalahati para makatipid at mukhang mapuputol.
2. I will agree that the gas lever looks crude, masyadong raw.
3. Walang arm rest sa middle kahit GLX na yung variant.
4. I felt that the side mirror control was very fragile and it might break easily.

Small compromises lang naman tong list na to para sakin. Maingat naman ako sa gamit. I'm still very much satisfied purchasing this car for my family. The kids were happy!!! :clap:

i got white (easy to mod color) but if u like plain, i suggest checking out the silver. its a very light silver and may pagka pearl ang dating imho...

gray is i think the hardest and most sought after color

ah oo boss yun nga nakaka miss, yung arm rest na storage. yun lang ang kulang sa ertiga talga mejo nasayang yung ibang space na pwede naman lagyan storage. naka-altis ka rin pala dati boss. ok din sana ang altis, sa gas lang mejo malakas. 9th gen altis AT sken.

hi, need your opinion guys...been looking around for a new upgrade and mags were on the list, yes a lazy monday again

planning on these mags

a bit heavy

will be using the same tires btw...
any comments would be greatly appreciated!

i think warranties would stay the same since its the same wheel size but you comments are still appreciated
