Suzuki Ertiga - 7 seater MPV

Nung October 2014 ko nakita ang thread na ito. Andito kase ang mga detalye na gusto ko malaman. Pero yung 7 seater nito talaga ang unang kailangan hindi na kami kasya sa kotse. Buti na lang kahit parang I trust my instinct sa pagpili e happy ako after 6 months so far so good..

thanks for your reply sir. i agree with everything you said. malaking factor talaga ang driving habits. btw, i was talking sbout the thread for the gen3 vios/yaris. medyo hindi ako talaga naimpress sa mga fc nila sa city driving. if one can save upto 50 pesos for short trips for gas, malaking tulong na yun kung araw araw gagamitin. kaya kung si ertiga kaya mag 11-12km/L city driving kahit matic, napakalaking plus factor na yun. convince me more ertiga owners. lols.

That is weird.

Considering yung makina at at transmission ng GLX at GL AT ay parehas lang naman.

Maybe ayaw lang nila i-offer kasi walang nabili ng GLX.

Gabi ko kasi nilalabas kaya wala masyadong traffic kahit city driving. Saka napaka conscious ko sa pagdadrive para ma-maintain ko ung fc. Example, pag aarangkada na coming from full stop, d ko hinahataw para maintain lang sa 2k rpm. Or nilalagay ko sa 2 pag alam kng mahihirapan sa D.

Sampung SA kinausap ko lahat may iba ibang reason bakit wala ng GL. Tumawag ako sa Suzuki PH sabi lang stopped production lang daw muna. D ko alam kung may GL pero nakareserve sa mga in-house lang para mas malaki yung tubo nila.

Sobrang pabaya na ang dealer na yan. Pwede mo icomplain sa LTO para magawan nila ng penalty. Check mo lang website or fb page ng LTO or DOTC.. O kaya sa tgp. May list sila ng reqmts

Wala akong FB pafs pero nag-email na ako sa LTO at sa Suzuki PH.
Pag wala pa rin next week, try ko rin sa DTI.

Sir, advice ko kau na mag file ng complaint sa LTO east avenue. First offence 100k babayaran ng dealer. Dalin nyo lang mga supporting documents nyo..

Address nyo kay Atty Alfonso V Tan, junior assistant secretary, LTO central office east avenue. Print 2 copies ung isa receiving document nyo.

Sorry, may question ako ulit re AT. Pwede ko bang imove ng 5meters ung kotse ng naka N lang? Sanay kasi ako sa manual na inuurong lang habang naka N. 2nd, ung engine braking on a down slope, anong mas fuel efficient? Ung naka 2 or L? Ginagamay ko plng kasi ung AT.

Question sa mga naka-AT. Pag nagdadrive ako, naka off ung "OD off" light. Napupuna ko mas kontrolado ung rpm ko, normally 2k pero nag-iincrease sa 3k pag aarangkada na. Nung naka-on ung "OD off", ang bilis pumalo sa 3k pag arangkada. Binasa ko ung manual pero d ko magets masyado. Para saan ba ung feature na un at may risk ba kung ma-overuse/misuse? Thanks.

at kung gusto mo mag overtake, diinan mo lang yung pagtapak sa accelerator, magddownshift yan.

Overdrive is normally the top gear, for a 4 speed AT that would be 4th gear. If you turn off overdrive, it will just shift up to 3rd gear. This is usually used for when you want to overtake, going uphill or for engine braking when going downhill.

Wag magpapaniwala sa pinagsasabi ng mga SA na yan. Kahit anong brand naman, ganun din ang sasabihin nila. Theirs is better than their competitor. Best is to do your research. In case of our Ertiga- get intouch with India or Indonesian club.

Regarding sa mga issues- lahat naman ng brand may mga problems na lumalabas. Even the ever reliable toyota and honda. But the company is addressing them.

On choosing City or Ertiga: kung may budget, Honda city ako.. Gusto ko design at build quality. Even fc.

My brother was puzzled why I bought an Ertiga . Suzuki .. Bakit daw di Toyota (Avanza/innova) or Kia (carens). As i wrote on my previous posts- gusto ko talaga noon ay carens. CRDI. 2nd ay yung Avanza. Both kahit 2nd hand lang. Syempre i have my own requirements. Value for money.. 7 seats.. car-like ride. Sa price range ng 5 seater na vios or any other sub compact sedan, meron ako mas malaking sasakyan. Tamang tama lang. 1.4L engine.

Kaya nung lumabas ang Ertiga dito, basa basa lang. Never test drived one . Pero naconvinced ako sa mga feedbacks pa lang. And it meets my needs.

Ang default natin ay naka-activate ang overdrive. Kaya walang kahit anong indicator yun sa dashboard na kapag naka-on (so hindi mo talaga mapapansin). May nakalagay na O/D OFF kapag na-deactivate.

Turn off overdrive for overtaking or when going uphill/downhill nang mataas na RPM mo. I-on na lang ulit agad pagtapos. You can choose to shift to 2 or L also, but ease off the accelerator first and make sure you're around 1500 RPM or less to avoid shift shock
